Does anyone here shop at Costco? My husband and I got our membership last night and then went walking around. At first my husband was leery so I had to pay for the membership. But after walking around for awhile we found some really good deals.

Gee first timers huh?? lol just leave your wallet at the door, lol I love shopping at Costco, I just bought a TV on line from them, they do have a nice service that if your not satisifed with your purchase they will come and pick it up! (only online shopping) As for shopping in the store, you can find some really great deals, just have to watch that bulk buying, I should follow my advice, I shop like I have 10 kids at home, and it is just DH and myself... lol

We don't have a Costco near me, there is a Sam's Club though so we go there.

We like to go "window shopping" at Sams and Costco. Its fun to see all the new items. I have a friend that is a manager at Costco and she says it a great place to work but she can't shop there because she spends too much on things she doesn't really need.

All we have right now is a Sam's Club, but we're getting a Costco later this year. We don't go to Sam's too often because we just don't need most things in bulk and have nowhere to store them.
I don't know about Costco, but Sam's doesn't take coupons and I can get a better deal on a lot of things if I shop sales at Target (or somewhere else) and use coupons.
We did get our dining room table at Sam's though. We got a great deal on that - dining room table and 4 chairs for $240. It was the same exact table that I wanted and had seen in a furniture store sales ad for $700.

I agree with Carol, just "leave your wallet at the door".
I LOVE Costco and Sams, however, I believe that they love me more!!! LOL
I have been with Sams since 92. I have always been very please with them.
There is one thing that I can say in comparing the two. I don't believe that Costco's in house Bakery is as near as good as Sams. Everyone I know that has both memberships feels the same. Anyone else??? Or is it just ours here in the Dallas area?

I haven't been to Costco enough to compare. However, we were at my sister's house in VA for my daughter's 12th birthday, and my sister bought her a Costco cake. It was MUCH better than a Sam's cake. It had a chocolate fudge filling that was out of this world!

I have memberships at Costco & BJ's - use to have Sam's but didn't ever use it and every time I tried to purchase gas there the card would not scan.
I will say that I will never buy paper towels anywhere except Costco. Their brand is 1000% better than Bounty or any other name brand.
I actually prefer BJ's since they take manufacturer coupons. But I will keep my Costco membership.
