Free Hanes Update

Today I received the free hanes and so did my mom. We both ordered a 7. They are nice but WAY TO BIG!!! Gosh thats what we where but there is not enough shrinkage to make these fit! Anyone else get theirs yet?

I got mine a few days ago. By the time I ordered, the largest size was a 6 so I got it. They are too small, dang it. A 7 or an 8 might have fit. CRAP. they were pretty and would have been comfortable, I am a cotton undie kind of woman.

I ordered a size 5 because it was all they had. I normally wear at least a 7. Got my sample today in blue and it IS BIG. Thought when I ordered that I would be giving them away. It looks like I can keep them and wear them on my BLOATED days!

I got mine too... great fit and comfy. Mine were a nice turquoise color. I know this is silly, but I used to work in the lingerie dept of a nice dept store and it was UNREAL how many woman DID NOT know what size of undies they wore. How do they make it? Who has been buying their panties all along? Oh well... thought I would share... this is funny though... a gentleman came in to buy his wife something nice for Valentines Day... he went right to the ***y stuff. After declining help, he brought this "rather large" ***y number to the register. I, of course, wasn't going to question it. I'm no thinny mini myself... but... I rung it up, giftwrapped it... yada yada.... well... the day after Valentines, the "rather large" wife came in to exchange... HA! She was actually a pretty average size woman... prob a "10/12" but... that in lingerie is... what? At least a 20/22. She got a kick out of it and so did I.

It seems that those who ordered size 6 are having the problem with the underware, I wonder if they sent you size 9 instead?? just an idea?? or if you have the correct size but it is too large I would email the company and tell them, maybe they will correct it and send you a new pair, worth a try, the worst that can happen is they say no!

Ah - yes, I think they are running a little big...I ordered a size 5, when they came (beautiful color and very soft) they looked huge. My suspicion was verified when my 240 lb 6'4" hubby put them on as a joke :eek: and they fit him perfectly:p

I usually purchase 6's in undies and that is what I ordered. Great fit.

As far as the sizing, mine fit very well, maybe there was a mix up on the sizes and 6's went out as 9 and vice versa...lol

Actually...he let me take a picture of him from behind :D - he is a body builder and used to tiny..ummm..."bottoms" :eek: he looked so cute in them I showed my girlfriends (and even my mom!!):p He told me I should contact hanes to let them know what I did with my sample.....that he confiscated them... and see what they had to say about it..

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I didn't say they weren't comfortable, they are. Its just that they aren't feminine in any way other than color. There are plenty of comfortable panties at Walmart that are less in price that are not the usual like Hanes. I sent for the pair because I wanted to see if they had changed their style at all. I think that these are the same old boring Hanes underware with a new, expensive ad campaign, thats all.

Some panties look like they'd fit a five-year-old, but they stretch to accomodate our grown-up forms. Perhaps the Hanes are simply the size they are, and aren't meant to stretch like some of the other panties on the market. Just a thought!

If you're sending samples to market your product, you'd think they would make the sizes fit! Ha ha! Good sample though. They felt super-soft!

In my experience, the Hanes panties run true to size. Did everyone remember that panty sizes are different from jeans sizes? A size 7 panty fits a 30"-32" waist, which is roughly equivalent to a size 12 in jeans.

(My problem was they sent me two sizes smaller than what I'd requested!) :mad:

I'm tiny ~ I will admit that........but a size 5 shouldn't fit my 250 lb hubby...and they fit him perfectly (would love to post a picture,but I'm sure that's a nono...lol)I wear a size 4 in jeans but my undies and bathing suits are usually a size 7/8 (depending on company....small in vicky secrets...medium in Ambercrombie)...who knows these days what size we really are....so many companies have such different "cuts"..............

Correct me if I am wrong out there guys--but I believe they were a Walmart sample and it has been quite a while now since they were offered. You could always go to Hanes.com and contact the company. Send them an email saying you heard about it, add a few things to butter them up, and ask them to send you a pair. Or call the company. You never know...
