Hi Guys & Gals

Was wondering if any of you know where to get some samples or Money off coupons for items that reduce the apperance of scars.

My son had both feet opperated on and now feels uncomforable about wearing sandles or no shoes due to the scaring :(

Anything would help. I have looked at Mederma's website. But a 2.00 off coupon only helps alittle.

TIA
Teresa

Your doctor should be able to help you out with that for free, I would call and ask, you have nothing to lose by asking! Other than Mederma, Ihave no idea, but you can also google that and any web site you find you can email them and ask for coupons or samples, goodluck to you and your son.

I had an operation on my hand 10 years ago. As soon as the stiches were out, my surgeon recommended that I massage the incision twice a day for 10minutes with vitamin E oil. I followed his advice and my scar is barely noticable. You can buy vitamin E from the pharmacy in a bottle or buy the capsules and break them open. The capsules are kind of messy so I recommend the bottle. If you can't find it in a bottle ask the pharmacist. My pharmacy keeps it behind the counter.

Pure aloe from an aloe vera plant works really well too. My mom used it for her scars!

I used the Vitamin E Oil when I had knee replacement, It really did not do anything, I think it just takes time for the redness to subside and then the scarring fades over time also, my scar is hard to see now, thankfully cause it is about 10" long, lol
