Does any one else feel like I do....that the coupon inserts in Sundays' papers are getting fewer? There were two coupon inserts in my Sunday paper today but only about 4-5 actual coupons and out of those, I only clipped one.
That was for the Banana Nut Cheerios which my husband wanted to try. The rest of those inserts were ads for various items which I was not interested in.
Last week, we didn't get any coupon inserts at all and I don't know if there just weren't any or if some one goofed up our paper again. About 3 weeks ago, the Sunday paper we received was about 1/2 there. Wasn't any comics, nor Ladies section or adds or coupons or the magazine that usually comes with the paper.
I did complain about that to the newspaper and received a credit.
But back to the coupons, it just seems that over the years, the manufacturers are offering fewer coupons. There used to be some coupons in the Wednesday edition of the newspaper too but you never see those anymore either.

There were no coupons issued last Sunday due to President's Day, so you didn't miss anything there!
As for today, we had 2 inserts, and I was able to get about 20-25 out of each one. I know the bigger newspapers offer more coupons. While my parents get two different Sunday papers, they will only get about half the amount I do (I get the Baltimore Sun). If you can get a Sunday sub to a larger city's paper, you may have more luck.
PS. I want to try the Cheerios too!

:mad:There were no inserts in our paper last week. Also the grocery for ALDI is usually in the Sunday paper and it was not there either.
:(Today there were two inserts but only one or two coupons that I could use.
Maybe next week will be better.

I really cannot complain about ANY coupons at this point. I am just thankful for whatever I get.

My coupons are ok, I guess.
I have tried the Banana Nut Cherios....YUCK!
Maybe they're just not my style, but I thought the flavor was horrible.

I have to agree, I'm thankful for the ones I do get...the only difference I've noticed is that there is less food coupons and more non essential coupons...

There is no doubt that which newspaper you subcribe to makes a difference as to the quality and quantity of coupons you receive. We live in SE South Dakota and used to receive door to door delivery of the Omaha World Hearld.
(published in Omaha, Nebr). Being originally from Nebr, we preferred that newspaper and found it to be a good newspaper, in all aspects.
However, late last year, the Omaha World Hearld notified us that they were discontinuing delivery (door to door) in South Dakota. So we were forced to subscribe to the Sioux Falls SD ARgus Leader. Believe me, this change was like going from driving a Lincoln to driving a Volkswagen. The ARgus Leader is just not that good of a newspaper. I do see that we did get more coupon inserts with the Omaha paper but even that newspaper didn't have them as much as they used too. Its frustrating all around.
I don't know if we will fare any better but my husband already told me to stop subscribing to the ARgus Leader when our subscription runs out, in December of this year. We still want a Sunday paper so may try the Sioux City Iowa Journal which offers a Sunday delivery but not a daily delivery.

yes, not only have i noticed for the past year that the coupon fliers are smaller/less but either the coupons are for buy more ie: buy 5 cans of soup & get 30¢ off (used to be buy 2 get 30¢ off) but the amount off has shrunk! & for some reason the companies have decided that we dont shop on holiday weeks lol. at this time, we really need the co.s to step up & offer better coupon amounts!
