View Full Version : Products you've tried and dislike

This is a thread where we can discuss products that we've tried, that just didn't quite hold up to what we expected them to do. Maybe we can help keep each other from buying products that just don't quite do what they promise.
1) Please keep things nice and clean - you can say why you disliked a product without bashing a company name.
2) Stick to the facts from your experience of using the product.
Please add to the rules if you think I've overlooked anything.
I'm hoping to see this thread do well as I think it is as valuable as the "Products you Love" thread, but it can only succeed if used properly...otherwise I have no doubt SS will remove it.

This thing looked great on the commercial and as I am happy with my swifter dusters, I figured I'd try it. I had hopes that it would help motivate my young son to help with the clean up that goes with his guinea pig.... so here's my take on it.
It has double sided sticky mats that you slide into the unit. Some of the debris does get swept up into the inside, but most of it sticks to the underside of the sticky pad...which gets covered with dirt, dander, carpet fiber really fast. Once the pad is covered - thats it, its done & needs to be replaced. We used it for a few days - then I just couldn't justify the cost of the replacement pads.
This may work well for people who do arts & crafts, but in a home with a child and pets... it wasn't successful. They have a good idea but it needs more work.

I had one of those swiffers floor duster and I loved it when I had hardwood floors, but now that I have Lineoleum I have there swiffer mop which I love!! I know they cost alot for the pads, but I have bad knees and cannot get down on my hands and knees like I use to, so this is a lifesaver for me, and usually the pad lasts me 2x before I change it.

I am so glad you posted this...I have been wondering about how well these work and was contemplating getting one! But it doesn't appear to be geared for pet hair, which is what I was looking for! Just hoping not to have to run the vacuum on all three levels every day...I guess I'll keep hoping :(

I dislikes fabric softeners for dryers. They smell bleah! I've tried many differents ones. Even my family dislikes the smell of it. So rarely I only use liquid fabric softeners in the washer (smells better only use it small).

Wendav, I had much the same hope when I purchased it. We have a long hair kitty who pretty much is allowed anywhere in the house he wants to be. My sons guinea pig manages to scatter litter and other stuff out of his cage ....so I was hoping it would be geared to tackle the pet stuff a little better.

Here is a site you can post your ratings of items that were originally on the TV and sometimes you can get them at different stores now, anyways there are ratings and you can add your own or just check before you buy one of the items.

Scrubbing Bubbles spray on cleaners do a fairly good job, but I was very disappointed by their highly touted automatic shower cleaner. It's a massive thing that you suspend from the shower head. You press a button upon completion of your shower, the unit beeps a countdown, and then it sprays in a pattern to clean all of your shower walls. Well, it made the shower look terrible. I used it for both the original bottle and the refill bottle. Maybe it was the city water minerals, but this thing is supposed to remove buildup, not create buildup! My shower started out clean, but looked terrible after using this thing and giving it a fair try. I had to hand scrub the shower all clean again and go back to my regular shower cleaners. The refills for it aren't cheap, either. A total bust in my experience! :(
Thanks for the info.....I was going to buy Scrubbing Bubbles Automatic Shower cleaner......I use the Scrubbing Bubbles foam spray and it really works good .....I love that so much that I mailed them and they sent me $3.50 off any purchase and various other coupons........

I traded a scanner for a Shark, and it was a waste of time. I was so disappointed! I sold it in a garage sale for $5!

I bought one of the Scrubby Bubble Shower things. I put the bottle in and the whole thing eventually leaked out. My husband said it also wasn't really spraying the whole shower area like they claim on TV. I found my receipt and returned it within a week of buying it.

Does anyone know if the Sw*f**r products with the built in sprayer are harmful to dogs and cats? I heard that somewhere that dogs were licking the floors and getting sick. Is this true or a story? I haven't found anything on if it really is true. I thought about buying one but am afraid to.
Thanks.

Just a bit from their website about the Swiffer Wet Jet!! It's regarding an email being sent out! Hope it helps!
First, there is no substantiation of this eRumor and, like many rumors, it is written in a way that there is no way to check it out.
There are no names, places, dates, or any professional offices or government agencies where the incident could be confirmed.
The Swiffer Wetjet is a mop-looking gizmo from Procter and Gamble that comes with special disposable absorbent pads and a spray bottle filled with cleaning solution.
According to an FAQ on their website, the makers of the Swiffer Wetjet say the product is safe for pets and does not leave residue on the floor.
They also say that the product does not contain antifreeze or any ingredient similar to it.

I just got the Atkins Advantage Drink Coupon to get a free 4 pk and couldn't wait to pick it up at Walmart. Unfortunately, I wasn't too thrilled w/the taste. Seems more like a watery cocoa than a chocolate drink shake. Oh well, may take it to work and see if anyone else likes it.

When the Swiffer Wet w/pads floor cleaner 1st came out (apx 7 yrs. ago) I thought this would save me from getting on my knees to wipe my small white (urg!) kitchen floor. Oh my! I thought, what a wonderful product. It cleaned the floor & left a nice shine. Then..(cue dread music)..I started noticing gray build up in front of my fridge, from frequent stops. I stopped using it & went back to just plain water wipe up. They may have lightened up on the cleaning product they 1st used on the pads but I won't use it again.
I personally buy unscented dryer sheets & liquid fabric softener. I wear perfume daily & don't like the mix between dryer sheet dried clothes & my perfumes. Also since in the summer I hang my sheets out to dry I want the smell of the fresh air that these pre-scented products cover up.

I'm usually not loyal to brand names, but I have always been a huge Downy Liquid fan. Every so often, I try the cheaper brands, but I always find myself going back to Downy.
Well, I just bought a bottle at Sam's, and apparently they've changed the scent, and I'm having a hard time with it. It's super-strong, and there's something about it that I HATE. I am so bummed. :(

I received my sample pkg (from who know where) & decided to use it yesterday. oooooo I am NOT happy. The pkg states: "Safely cleans & dusts wood, glass & more in one easy step."
The 1st thing I used it on, right out of the pkg., was my TV screen. The towlette came away clean but my TV screen was badly streaked (I re-cleaned w/my window cleaner). I then used it on my cherry wood dresser top...yes the dust was removed, however, I don't like the feel of the wood after cleaning w/this product. eeewwwwww! I won't be buying this product.
(off subject) I think this "thread" (Products you've tried & disliked) should be a main topic & right under "Products you love". This subject ("thread") was a ruff one to find!

Sorry to hear that! I haven't tried those yet! When The tasty freeze was open one of my best sellers was French fried sweet potatoes. Most people like them plain of course I used ketchup. Another topping was to drizzle honey over them or marshmallow cream and a sprinkle of brown sugar.I know walmart carries these but they are a little pricier than reg. fries.

Has anyone used the METHOD cleaners from Target?
A few years ago I tried the Method All Purpose Spray in French Lavender and couldn't stand the way it smelled. I ended up having to toss it in the trash because I thought it smelled so bad. I was so disappointed because I usually love anything that is lavender scented. :(
Right now I use the Method Wood For Good Wipes and I love them! :D After I used up all of the Guardsman furniture spray that came with my new bedroom furniture, I tried all kinds of other sprays and cleaners including Pledge, Pledge Orange Oil and Endust. They all left a wierd finish on my furniture and made it look really bad. The Method Wood For Good Wipes are awesome! They smell great and really seem to condition the wood too.
I do really like that their products are all safe and non-toxic. I'll have to try more of their stuff in the future - just not their All Purpose Spray in French Lavender.

I don't know...did I buy an old one? Am I using it wrong? I bought this pen & 1st used it on a fresh dried blood spot the size of a dime on white sheets. Making sure the liquid came out & I rubbed it around then threw the sheets in the washer. HA! You would think I had done nothing to the spot. It was still there! The spot later came out using regular liquid bleach in a wash. Is this "pen" only for whitening grout? Am I the only one who received no results?

And with saying all of that, I am assumming that you mean the April Fresh Downy right? Anyway, I think I will write to them and ask them what they did!

I received my Ultimate Cloth® in the mail & used it. Following the directions, rinsing the cloth right out of the bag (to remove any factory lint). It claims you can wash glass w/just water..no streaking or lint. I agree, but you have to wring the cloth so hard to get every last drop of water out that I would not recommend this product to anyone who has arthritis in their hands.

FiberOne Caramel Delight cereal: I wanted a free sample but never got one, every link that said caramel delight sent the original. I used a $1.00 off coupon and now, well I am stuck with the box. Even with the $1 off it was still expensive because I thought it was going to be REALLY Good and could qualify as a splurge.
I think if I would have gotten a free sample I would have either said this is not worth my time buying or would not have been so disapointed. I was expecting a stronger taste, very bland once the milk hits it. I love their fiberone bars so I am really disapointed.

Those were the worst potatoes I've ever tasted. I thought I had cooked them wrong or something. I agree that there is a strange smell to them. I too will be calling Betty Crocker and complaining. Thank God I didn't buy more with the coupon I had.

Hmmmm let's see....
Does anyone think that Clorox 2 Color Safe Bleach actually works?
I swear my clothes ALWAYS look the same and never brighter.
.
.
being a basicly lazy person i have done the no no...thrown in a light yellow t-shirt into the dark load. i believe that the clorox 2 does work. i found in the case of the no no that it did bring back the nice yellow of the top. i don't use it every wk. but after weeks of reg. washing i think it does work to brighten my clothes. even my yellow bath towels seem to brighten.

Am I the only one who received no results?
.
.
i tried that pen again the other day on a white sweat shirt...again nothing. anyone else out there think this product is worthless? or have you had better luck & maybe mine is old?

I have a Furminator....if you have ever seen electric clippers, all it is is one portion of the clipper blade. What it actually does is shave the hair on your pet. My vet told me not to concentrate on one area of my cat's coat, because I will end up shaving his fur off. :(

Bought one of these pens a few years ago. The one I had leaked, so I had to store it propped up in an old detergent bottle cap, and the stuff was thickened up like a gel. It didn't whiten near as well as just using normal bleach in the wash. It did nothing for baby spit up on white onesies. Had much better luck using Fels Naptha laundry bar soap and ordinary bleach.
I to have used the pen and got mixed results. It would either work great and leak (so only one use once opened) or it would not work at all.

TY! TY! for answering my post. I was begining to think that my neighbors & I here in south east MI got a bad batch of that pen. I wouldn't even use it on my grout since it wouldn't work on my laundry. NOT going to put in all that work just to find out it did nothing. TY!

here are some of my opinions one reading this great thread:
for Hardwood and Laminate floors (2 diff kinds of cleaners) you have got to try the BONA system. I have never been so pleased and I have tried everything. Its a mop with a washable mop pad (no more money for swiffer pads) and the floor cleaner comes in a spray bottle you just spray and mop, its non toxic, no harm to pets or kids and NO STREAKS!! found at ACE and Bed, bath, beyond, LnT.
Clorox 2- I found this totally fades my clothes, especially denim. I stopped using it.
product I love everyday and can not live without, my TIVO!!
something I just got is a booster seat for my 2 year old, its Cooshee Hybak and its so comfy for my son and easy to clean.
One more thing! I found that the Lysol food surface sanitizer spray will get baby food off of anything!! you just have to let it sit for a minute.
thats all hope this helps someone!:)

:(My sis used this and it doesnt do a good job

The deck needed staining--1,050 square feet, plus side skirts three feet to three and a half feet high all around, plus a 130 square foot porch, and three sets of steps. I bought this Wagner Deckmate thing and a pair of good made in U.S.A. Purdy brushes, thinking I would use the Deckmate for the vast majority of the work, and use the brushes for working in around the white vinyl railings and post covers. Good thing I bought the brushes--the Deckmate doesn't work very well at all. It looks like a good idea--a nice large painting pad to cover a nice swath on top of the planks, double set of long angled bristles to stain between the deck planks, and a tank that you fill up and adjust the flow with a turn collar. No matter how I adjusted it, it left streaks where it doesn't put down any stain and blobs where it puts down too much stain. The bristles meant to stain between planks were hit and miss, too--mostly miss. My husband tried it after he noticed I had given up on the Deckmate and started staining the deck with a brush. He fiddled with it for over an hour, and ended up at the same conclusion--the Deckmate just isn't what it's promised to be. What a waste of money!
Jude, I hope you wrote an email to this company and told them about their poor product! My son is a painting contractor, later when I see him I am going to ask him what he suggests you use on your deck, and how to apply it.
Cpogie
05-21-2008, 11:08 PM
Jude, I talked to my son, he said to use Cabot Stain with a 4 in purdy brush and do the deck floor by hand if you want to save product, it will get into the pores of the wood better or a foam pad on a long handle and a brush to do in between the cracks, and finally if you don't care about using more product than necessary a weenie roller on a long handle with a brush for the cracks.

Thanks for checking with your son Carol. I finished the deck two weeks ago, actually, and I did use Purdy brushes. I did it all by hand, and the water just beads and runs right off--a good sign you like to see, just like when you wax the car. The deck is very well built, but it had never been treated or stained, so I wanted to really do a good job, and let the boards soak it up.
No, the recall queen has not written the company yet--bunches of stuff to do outside with the no more freezing nights weather upon us, but the box and receipt remain at hand. I was just disappointed as Wagner makes pretty decent sprayers and other painting equipment. I didn't expect the Deckmate to be such a total loss.
I agree with your son on the Purdy brushes. Purdy brushes are just the best! Yes, they cost more upfront, but they last FOREVER! Our 1 1/2" angled Purdy brush is three years old and the bristles still look like new--we've used it for many inside and outside painting and staining jobs. Purdy brushes don't shed bristles, and they can make even crummy paint much easier to apply. My husband worked for a painting contractor for a few years, and they used nothing but Purdy brushes, too!
I used Olympic Maximum semi-transparent with a five year warranty. I have never tried Cabot to be honest, but I will take a look at it next time. Cabot has a good reputation--I just don't see it that often at my usual hardware haunts. My folks have ran trials with different brands (their veranda is humongous and goes around their entire house, so they want something that lasts!), and the Olympic worked best out of the five different ones they've tried, but we just never tried Cabot. Thank you and your son for the information!
I'm glad your deck is done and it turned out so well after what you went through Jude. My son will only use Purdy brushes also, the best by far.
He said they sell Cabot everywhere and it was top rated in Consumer Reports. He did my deck a few months back, something that needs to be done yearly here, looks brand new. Glad to hear your going to take back that toy!!

Never heard of a Purdy brush, but I agree with Cabot. Did a deck once and it was great! Now we have a new house and still working on lots of things so just to get by I spray Thompson's on it every year. Next year for sure I'll be getting Cabot to do it!

My biggest complaint lately is with the ice cream companies. They keep shrinking their cartons of ice cream! I went to buy some Edy's the other day and was shocked by the tiny container. It's down to 1.5 quarts now. When you have a family of four, that's barely enough for one sitting! I think I will go complain to them right now! Thanks for the reminder, LOL!

Yum ... Edy's! Hubby and I tried Edy's for the first time last week. It was so nice! It was softer than the others we have had. He hates the way most of them are so hard you have to either wait for it to soften or bend your spoons trying to dip it. Not with Edy's! I am diabetic and trust me ... it was hard not to overindulge!
LOL ... 1.5 quarts for 4 people ... sounds like y'all eat ice-cream the way we do. Or at least the way I used to. The serving sizes listed are so ridiculous! 1/2 cup ice-cream is just enough to really make me want some ice-cream!

A recent product I have tried is the PedEgg. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT!!!! Did I mention I LOVE it? I am diabetic and have peripheral neuropathy. My feet, especially my rt foot, get really, really bad and deep cracks in them. The cracks go so deep that at times they will split into the good flesh and bleed when I walk. Well, no more!
Thry FINALLY got the PedEgg in at CVS pharmacy for $10.00 and Hubby bought it for me. I used it as soon as I got home and within minutes my feet were so soft and silky smooth! There was a small section in the very back of my rt heel that I couldn't get completely soft at that time because the cracks were too deep and I didn't want to mess with it too much. 3 days later I used it again and ended up with perfectly soft feet! I am amazed at how well this product worked! Now I use it 2-3 times per week and I haven't had a problem with cracks or dryness since. :)
Oh yeah ... the one downside ... it does not collect all the dead skin inside the egg like it says on tv. You will still need to put a papertowel or something under you to catch it. The reason is because the skin comes off in such a very fine powder so it escapes through the while you are using it.
Btw, the info inside the guide says not to use if you are diabetic. I did anyways and am glad I did. I guess it is a choice each has to make for themselves. I got one for the Hospice lady that takes care of my MIL. It made her job easier. :)

Has anyone tried Green Bags yet? The ones from the infommercial that says it will make your produce last longer. I have wanted to try those because produce is so expensive and since Hubby eats very few green veggies they have a tendency to go bad before I can use them up.

YES!!! I love these bags, I have been using them for years. I first bought mine from QVC when they first came out. I'm assuming that you got the ones from Debbie Meyer? they are now for sale at Target for sure as well as other stores. You can reuse them too, just rinse them off and let them air dry. They have the bags at Target? YAY!!! We don't have a target here but since they have it ... shouldn't be too long before CVS gets it. Thank you so much for letting me know they work! I adore fresh veggies but can't stand to see them go to waste. Now I buy very little of them unless my g-babes are around to help me eat them. Once I get the bags, then I can keep everything in the fridge for my own salad bar. :D

My boyfriend's mother gave us some of the Green Bags. They actually work pretty well. I didn't leave anything in them for the 30 days or whatever that they were saying it will keep them good for, but our lettuce stayed good for about 3 weeks in one, and berries stay good in them (they were in there for about a week or so). I will have to try the ziploc ones you are talking about. I have not seen those yet.

Saw an online article the other day and it claims that companies are downsizing their amounts so they don't have to raise prices. Now if they weren't raising prices on top of it, I might believe that but the prices are going up, the amounts are going down and most things these days taste sweet, sour, or hot with no other flavor. Can you remember the last time you ate pizza sauce that had oregano in it and no hot sauce? I have to figure out how to can my own pizza and pasta sauce.

I have a PedEgg and yeah the container doesn't trap all of the dead skin. Some of mine went on the floor. I would suggest using it with your feet in the bathtub or over a trash can, unless you feel like sweeping the floor.
Other than that, the PedEgg works great. I bought mine after a friend recommended it to me, saying that she probably wouldn't go to the salon to get pedicures anymore since she bought the PedEgg.
It's definitely worth the $10 I paid for it at Walmart.

It's a vaccum, broom and mop in one. it has the mop and broom pads you buy separtely. (the freebreeze vanilla lavendar ones are great)

I bought a swifter wet jet a few months ago.
I was highly disapoointed with the wet jet.
It didnt seem to get my floor clean enough, the liquid was way to liquidy (left the floor wet for a while) and it started leaking after a month.

Brandy these are synthetic cloths, I have a new one that I am going to send to you. A friend of mine gave me a few of these "wonder cloths" mine is not the ShamWow, but it is the same stuff. Mine is made in Germany and says it is 100% Viscose stamped on it. It's a very large one too so you can cut it up. I think they work best if you wet them first, wring them out and use. They do absorb lots of water or liquid and are good to dry cars too. SO don't buy that one, I am sending you one!!!!!

My b/f has a leather shammy (not sure of the name of it, but that's what it is). He's had it for probably 5 years, and it still works great! We use it to dry our cars off with when washing them, and it keeps from getting all those water spots!

I've had that happen before. But I notice that once the pen has set for a while, the stuff inside settles and seperates. It should look sort of creamy white as it comes out, not nearly clear liquid. A little shake before using and I've never had another problem with the bleach pens so far.

I've noticed this too. It makes me angry because I have to wipe off everything that comes out of the dishwasher. I don't want me or my family to eat that stuff. I have no idea what or how harmful it is.
Please let me know what Palmolive says. I'm all for eco-friendly products but am disappointed in how most of them actually perform. And we have to pay more for them. Makes no sense....paying more for something just because it's more eco-friendly but doesn't work as well as a product that's not eco-friendly. I'm not sure which I prefer more.

I got some Oxy cleaner for the carpets that is for pet stains. It STINKS!! When we use it we have to open all the doors and windows to get the smell out before we get migraines. We got one of the Rug sticks today, so we will see how well it works (it was $15:eek:)

I have a med. hair cat, & found a $1.00 coupon for this thing. It's a clear plastic dome with velcro rollers on the bottem. OK, you are suppose to rub it back & forth over what you want to clean the pet hair off of. I had to keep cleaning the cat hair off the rollers, & had hardly any in the dome. I finely gave up. This thing was $5.00, & it's one time use. I thought it would be reuseable (for 5 bucks, it should be). It just didn't work at all.

This is the product I got from BzzAgent. It is not meant for only a one time use. It is supposed to last quite awhile. I do wish that it wasn't disposable though. We tested it at my parents house and it worked well. They have a velour-type sofa. Alot of fur went into the top part. I tried it at home on my textured black sofa and it didn't work too well. I think it may depend on the type of furniture you use it on.

I ordered some Dublin Dr Pepper from Texas and was surprised at how different cane sugar drinks are from High Fructose Corn Syrup. I think it comes down to what you're used to. I consider the cane sugar versions slightly healthier. (The only reason for the drink companies making the switch is the U.S. government supporting an artificially high price for sugar. Outside the U.S. these drinks are all cane sugar.)

Dial foaming hand wash. I like foam but it just feels like it is not cleaning my hands like gel soaps. and you have to wash your hands differently when using the foam. lightly put water on hands or no water and then rub all over hands and part of arms. then wash off with water. to me gel soaps works better and feels like I actual did wash my hands.

Has any one else tried the new cat litter "Yesterday's News? And how did you and your cats like it?
My cat and I would give this product a big thumbs down! Or paws down, if you prefer.
Despite promises to control odor and have good absorbency, it does neither.
My Cosmo was always kicking the pellets out of his box and you could tell, he just wasn't happy with his inability to cover up his BM. And instead of the urine being absorbed by the pellets, it collected at the bottom of the pan.
I found myself having to clean the box and totally replace the litter numerous times a week. The clumping sand type litter that I used before (Special Kitty from Walmart), I could scoop out the chunks daily and have the litter last nearly a week.
I had previously tried a similar pellet product, Feline Pine and found it to be lacking as well. I'm sticking with my Special Kitty litter from Walmart.

I'm usually a big lurker, but I had to pipe up to say how much I agree with this! I had the chicken and penne w/artichokes and thought it was one of the WORST things I've ever eaten.
I did do the follow up survey and told them how bad it was. I kinda cracked up when I read that my comments just might appear in the magazine! LOL! Don't think so.
Thanks for coming out of lurker mode to post this. I'm glad to see others agree. That would be SOOO funny if they posted your comments. I wonder what they do if no one comments something good about a product-LOL.
By the way, feel free to post more- we are pretty friendly here :).

I found the above three flavors at a special display at our local Walmart.
They had a recipe pamphlet on the display. I tried the Strawberry Breezer Mousse-tini which uses rum. It was easy and quick to make. Instead of the dessert glasses shown on the recipe, I used some clear plastic cups I had leftover from our daughter's wedding, last summer. You don't taste the rum at all, though the recipe states you may use water in place of the rum.
The recipe using the margarita flavor gelatin uses tequila while the pina colada pops recipes calls for rum. Again, recipe states you can use extra water in place of the alcohol.
These flavors probably won't be around long. I noticed that Hy-vee does not carry them, in their usual gelatin section. In Walmart, they are in a special display. But some thing new and different for those of you who are tired of the same old things for dessert.

Yummy! They come out the last few summers here. I'll have to look for them again this year.

Thanks for the info.....I was going to buy Scrubbing Bubbles Automatic Shower cleaner......I use the Scrubbing Bubbles foam spray and it really works good .....I love that so much that I mailed them and they sent me $3.50 off any purchase and various other coupons........
I'm not sure if you ladies are discussing the same thing as my daughter had.
Her automatic shower cleaner didn't hang from the shower head, it hung on the shower wall some how. I found a bottle of the shower cleaner in a box, she left behind after she moved out of state (she got married). We don't have a shower but I didn't want to throw out this new bottle of shower cleaner.
I know, they are expensive! So I just squirted it on the bathtub when I cleaned it. It really cleaned my bathtub well and it was so shiny afterwards.
I really hated it, when the bottle was finally empty. But too expensive to buy just to clean the tub and sink.

Are you saying you recommend these? You posted in the thread for items you DON'T like, which is why I ask.

(DiGiornio Flatbread Melts)
Very easy to cook, but not so flavorful. They were rather bland to me. They're also rather small for the price, even with a coupon. Perhaps a different flavor will be better.

I tried the Cheese & Spinach flavor. They were over $3.00 with a coupon and the serving size seemed small so I made two boxes. I may not have needed to do that or they just tasted so bad that my appetite was poor. They were extremely lacking in the flavor department and what little flavor they had was drowned in the grease that resulted in baking them per direction. I really thought I would like these, so I'm somewhat disappointed. However, without a coupon I would NEVER pay that much money for something like this. I had a hard time doing it WITH a coupon, but I just love spinach and cream cheese.

Which did you try? I tried the steak and something and thought that it was really good. But some of the others didn't look so appealing to me.

I tried the Digiorno Flatbread Melts in Chicken Parmesan and it really didn't thrill me, I was expecting it to taste much better. However, I do recommend the California Pizza Kitchen Flatbread Melts in 5 cheese and spinach flavor. To me it was excellent. I thought I would mention it since you said you like spinach in your second post.

I quit buying the Athletech socks for my son because he would wear through them in no time! I would give him a new pair & by the 2nd or 3rd washing, there would be holes! I guess some "value" brands really arent that great of a value, huh? :(

I bought the Kashi frozen meals using the free coupon they had awhile back. I think it was Chicken Pomodoro? Not good. To me it tasted like cardboard with a little garlic on it. I couldnt finish it & ended up throwing more than half away. And the price? Nearly $6 for a frozen entree? Forget it.

I bought the sweet & sour chicken and gave it to DD. She didn't care for it either. Did you get the coupon for the free Kashi frozen waffles? They were a little better than the frozen dinner but I know I'll never buy any of these products because of the price.

We tried the DiGiorno Flatbread Melt the other night for a snack, we had the Steak and Veggie one. It was ok, I wouldn't rave about them.....the crust needs to be crisper...I will not be buying them, but for free it was an ok snack.

I tried the DiGiorno Flatbread Melt too and wasn't impressed. I really like DiGiorno's frozen pizza, so I felt kind of disappointed. The ends of it were too hard to eat and the flavor wasn't that great. At least I got to try it for free.

I got the bodycology hand & body lotion sample from Walmart in "cherry blossom" scent and I do not like it. I think that it smells like corn on the cob, which is not what I want my arm to smell like LOL. I have asked my family if they think it smells like that, but they didn't see the similarity. I tried it twice and thought the same thing each time .

LOL! I just tried this last night after my shower. I was suprised by how much was in there! I did like it though-it wasn't heavy and absorbed rather well. DH asked me what smelled, but he did say it was nice.

I have no idea how long the "sugar free" type of Hershey's chocolate syrup has been out...this one says on the front of the bottle " New & Improved formula!" but YUCKO! If this one is the "improved" one OMG! the other one must have been the worstest!
It is verry bitter! Skip this one. Hershey's does now have a "Lite" type. I might try that one next. That is if I am able to get the bad taste out of my mouth from this "Sugar Free" type. I expected better from Hershey. They got my $3.49 for this one but they won't get it again. I'm going to either call them & tell them or email them. will let you all know later.

I bought that same one last week (on sale w/coupon). I tried it for for lunch today. Not crazy about that one but I bought it because they were out of the other two flavors. I might try one of the others if it's on sale again in the future.

I tried the new Yoplait Smoothies. It's essentially a bag with fruit. You add milk and blend the contents in a blender. It was horrible! We tried the Strawberry/Banana one and it tasted gross to us, we couldn't drink it....something about the taste of the Bananas that was off.....never again! I would of been better off buying strawberries and a banana and making my own from scratch.

I am a life-long user of Campbell's ABC Vegetable in Beef Stock soup. I noticed they are now making a Healthy Request version so I bought it. I ended up throwing it away. It does NOT taste like the original version. They also added lots of little green leafy bits that the original doesn't have. They float. Why call it the same name and then change the flavor?

I agree. Campbell's did the same thing with their chicken vegetable soup. It's a totally different version from the one I ate as a kid.

I tried the All-Bran strawberry bar today that was a free sample. Granted, it had been sitting in the closet for over a month, but in its' wrapper. Had to make sure there was no cardboard behind it, because that is what it tasted like. I ate about half of it, and could not make it through any more....the fruit was dried, not like the Nutrigrain bars...almost was like dried strawberries...and the swirl stuff was nasty....

Organix conditioners: they smell wonderful, but they don't condition well at all
Tried two different ones, neither proved worth taking home: 1. Soft & Silky Vanilla Silk conditioner, and 2. Healing Mandarin Olive Oil conditioner
Loreal Vive Pro or Pantene Pro V conditioners do the job five times better at less than half the price of Organix.

Oh my, these Odwalla Berries GoMega bars taste terrible! They taste so bad, that I rechecked the expiry date to see if I misread it when I bought them. Nope, the "enjoy by" date remains a couple of months off, but there's nothing to enjoy eating these things--bitter, spongy, and dry.
