I have been hearing about this a lot and I wanted to let everyone that has not heard about it know. On March 28th at 8:30pm (your local time) WWF is asking that everyone turn off their lights for one hour to help make a global statement about the climate change. It is also to show that you support and commit to help finding a solution.

This will be an amazing thing to do and help show your support to finding a solution. It is only one hour, you can play card or board games with your family, go outside and have a nice dinner and yard games, or even just go out at that time. Turning off just your lights will do a lot, but you can also make sure everything else in your house is turned off.

Please help WWF out on making this a success. Here is their website if you would like to look at it a little more http://www.worldwildlife.org/sites/earthhour/index.html

Thanks for your support!! I know I will be doing this and I want everyone else to help me get others to do it also. Turning off my lights for an hour is the least I can do to help.:D

I will be doing this . not that I'm a tree hugger per say but I would love to help save our environment as much as I can. I try to do as much as I can and it not only helps the environment but usually helps the purse too.

Same here! I recycle as well, and it's unreal the amount that I'm recycling, that I could just be throwing away and wasting. Anything I can do to help the world that I too live in, I'm going to do it!

I have been hearing more about this on the radio and I think TV too since it is getting closer!!! I think that it is great and that we should do stuff like this more often!! It will be easy for me to remember b/c it is the day before my B-day!!! I hope that they give some kind of feedback as to how much of a difference it makes compared to what the normal amount of energy is used during that time!!

a huge energy drain that a lot of people don't consider is their appliances, especially video game systems. i noticed recently that the boys' Nintendo Wii kept "flashing", and asked them why they didn't shut it down. turns out they did, but it remains on standby and still uses energy. i had no idea!
here's a video link so you can see how much energy your gadgets use.
