I have a prayer request....

I know everyone has already a huge list of people in their prayers but if you could find a spot for just 1 more, than here it is..... My uncle is 51. He has in the past 6 months has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. He has 3 quite large tumors that are in inoperable locations. They put hime through chemo and radiation. He took on a huge diet change. Almost nothing is ok to eat. He quit smoking. He also retired. He made about every possible change in his habits that may make a diffrence. Needless to say at the end of the lifestyle changes and the chemo and radiation there has been no decrease in the tumors and hes wearing out. The doctors are suggesting another round of chemo and radiation. When he started they gave him a 15% survival rate. I guess there is 4 stages to the cancer and hes been placed at 3.5 I dont believe that going through more treatments at this point are going to help him. I guess I am just requesting prayers for what days he has left to be as painfree as possible. Hes always been a favorite uncle. I know its not the right thing so say but I have another uncle (his brother) who leads a life that is nothing to brag about. He is a terrible man. Will take advantage of anyone and I mean anyone. The amount of people he has screwed over the years is uncountable. And here he is healthy, happy as a lark. This all just seems like a much more fitting battle for him. Sometimes I just dont understand how the cards are dealt. Seems quite wrong. Anyhow, sorry to ramble sometimes I get caught up in my thoughts. I thank anyone willing to offer their thoughts and prayers.

Stay strong. I know first hand how this can be. God likes to make monkeys out of the medical field. My sister has stage 4 brain and lung cancer. We just celebrated her 3rd year of survival, and yes, we are Blessed! I will include your uncle and you and all your family in my prayers. Prayer does work. There is always room for more!

I am so sorry to hear about your uncle. It pains me to hear of anyone suffering from cancer. Your uncle, you, and your family are in my prayers. I know when you say about your other uncle that has mistreated others being healthy you are not wishing the cancer on him. When we see our loved ones suffer we wonder how such a good person can have something so awful happen to them and yet someone who does such terrible things to others lives a carefree life. We don't wish bad things on them, we just don't understand the bad that happens to the good people. I think sometimes it's part of the grieving process because we are angry that this has happen to our loved one.
All you can do is pray for your uncle to change his ways. I'll keep him in my prayers too.

I just wanted to update everyone. My uncle just completed his second round of cemo and radiation. There is still no change in any of his tumors. But, nothing has progressed either. He has decided though to discontinue any further treatments. Hes just going to live whatever time he has left the way it's meant to play out. He said that with each treatment he fealt death knocking on his door. He's just not quite ready. He's in very good spirits considering. Very positive. He has maintained that attitude through the whole process. So much strength. I also believe that everything happens for a reason. How unfair it may seem there is still a point somewhere. I just want to thank everyone again for your kind thoughts and prayers. Only time will tell what happens from here.....

He will live out his days doing what he wants, for as long as he is able. You cannot ask for more. Prayers to him and his family and friends.
