Prayers for my recovery

Hello,
This is my first post here on this board. I just got home
from the hospital on Saturday from flail chest due to a
car accident (drunk driver hit me). I'm recovering at home
now, and thought I'd reach out for your prayers:)

Oh boy, looks like you are very lucky! I had never heard of flail chest so I looked it up.

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. I'm still having some
pain in my chest, but the worst has gone away, thank goodness
for the help of the hospital. I know someone up above was keeping
me going through.

Hello all,
Thank you for your prayers and thoughts. I go tomorrow to
the Doctor's for a check up. I'll get some chest x-rays and see
how my chest is healing up. I still feel some pressure in my chest
but I should be healing up soon!
I'll keep you posted.

Hello,
I had my appointment yesterday. My chest x-ray was taken, and looks like it's going to take awhile for me to heal up. My breathing is getting better, thank goodness. My ribs are really still tender, but healing. I continue asking for your prayers for my recovery, I truly hate having these pains.

Awwwww sending gentle hugglesss and prayers so your well again real soon.... You sure were riding with an Angel when you had your accident that's for sure Thank you God for this :-) I shall also pray for the person who did this that they will find strength to seek help in taking care of this horrible addiction that destroys so many innocent lives each & every day my favorite cousin in the world was one of those innocent lives and her life forever changed in the blink of an eye....

I also had never heard of flail chest. I looked it up in the link that Carol posted here. I am so sorry this happened to you. It sounds terribly painful :(. I hope that you have a safe and speedy recovery.

Adding my prayers and wishes for a fast recovery.

Just my 2 cents...If it hurts to cough or even breathe, hold a pillow up to your chest so that it absorbs the brunt of the impact. I had to do that years ago when I suffered an abdominal injury. Feel better soon!

Tons of prayers and good thoughts being sent your way- that is a very painful condition! :( I have only seen it once in the ER as a student nurse so that was a LONG time ago! (thank God pregnant women don't get it too often!) Follow doctor's orders and let us know how you are doing.

Hello everyone,
Thank you again for your continued thoughts and prayers! I went to my Dr's appt today, had my chest x-ray. Healing up slow, but surely. He gave me an EKG while I was there, but because it was difficult to record arrhythmia, I have to wear a Holter Monitor which I have to wear for a couple of days. He just wants to make sure that I'm ok.

I went for my check-up yesterday. Healing up just fine.....but got a darn cold. Weather in my area is up and down with the temps, but I will get over this cold, no biggie.
