I just got a phone call from dh that one of his coworkers trucks was found burning with a body in it. He was a 30 year old man with a family wife and 3 small children. So I am asking for prayers for him his family and coworkers/friends. I feel terrible my Dh doesn't usually cry but when he called me he was crying and I could hear other guys in the back ground crying. Thank you in advance for any and all prayers.

— Firefighters discovered the charred body of an unidentified man early Thursday inside a truck that was gutted by a blistering fire.

Investigators said it's unclear how the truck ignited, why it was parked at a Rock Hill pizzeria, and how the man inside died.

Undersheriff Eric Chaboty said an autopsy is scheduled for Friday afternoon, and fire investigators will take a closer look at the Dodge pickup truck to determine how the fire started.

A motorist called 911 to report the fire when he spotted it from the highway just after 4 a.m. The truck was parked at the Pizza The Rock restaurant in the hamlet's business district.

When firefighters arrived moments later, Rock Hill fire Chief Gary Smith said the truck was in flames and the gas tank had ruptured. The fire was so hot that no remnants of a steering wheel could be found.

Deputies and local workers reported seeing the truck parked there off and on for the past few months, with the driver inside taking a nap.

Police and fire investigators could not say whether the fire was suspicious or accidental until more information was gathered, his name was not released pending identification of the body and notification of the victim's family.
