Dollywood is fun especially for little kids. Plus if you go to Dollywood, there is lots more to do in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. We are going up there at the end of the month with friends to snowboard, but not going to Dollywood. You will all have a blast if you go.

My family and I went to Dollywood several times when I was little. The rides are mainly for kids. Nothing scary at all. Pigeon Forge is a great place to shop including a couple of outlet malls. There is alot of things to see and do in Gatlinburg (lots fo Ripley's stuff). The aquarium is the best I've ever been to. I was married in Gatlinburg and my husband and I go there at least twice a year. If you want to spend a few hours seeing nature, drive out to Cades Cove (easy to get directions). It's a long scenic one-way loop that is just beautiful. One time we saw over 70 deer there and lots of wild turkey. The deer will walk within a few feet of you if you are out of the car. The last time, 2 jumped in front of our car. The speed limit is 15 or 20 so it's safe but it does take a couple hours and there aren't any stores or anything so bring snacks. There is a lot to do around there.

When you go make sure you find the train and take a ride. It runs off of coal, they stop and do a little show and give you a run down of the park. It's great. They have added several new rides and things in the past few years. :)
