daughter has eczema any advice out there
I had it for a long time. I used the cetaphil liquid soap and lotion and that seemed to help it. Hot water used to make it worse, but the tanning bed or being in the sun seemed to make it better. Hope this helps!

Are you seeing a dermotologist or a general Dr? Mine would get worse thru winter and then better once the seasons changed. That could be it.

Thats true. I saw about 3 or 4 dermatologists before they even found out what I had.. I would try another Dr and see what they can do.

I lived in Florida for years before moving here and the humidity actually helped my eczema.
I went to my PCP and she gave me a cream that helped when I had outbreaks. It would clear it up in a couple days.
For the longest time I could not even use perfume, any scented in the shower, etc.
Tell your daughter to cut out everything scented and only use hupo-allergenic products. That will definitely help.

Hi.My 2 year old daughter also has excema. My doctor told me to first start with the soaps and shampoos.I guess the fragrances really irritate their skin.So I try to stick to unscented sensitive skin products.I always try to use Aveeno products they are awesome for sensitive skin. Also cetaphil cream or baby aquaphor work really well on the really bad dry spots. If none of that works I know the doctor can give good prescriptions for some creams to apply to the really dry spots. My doctor gave me one that works great on my daughter.I can't remember the name but if you want I can look later and let you know.I hope it get better for your daughter.

A Friend of mine suffers from that. I also get all broke out on my arms. She was told to use lotions that are in pods not pumps because they have less alcohol. He also said to use cetaphil brand lotions in tubs.I tried it and it really helps and we both buy the walmart brand which is cheaper. We also found there face wash to work well this season she has not had an out break so for right now its working. As far as the botttoms of my arms as long as I use the cetaphil twice a day I have been able to keep it at bay.

My daughter had it , and as a baby it was so bad we switched our heat from oil to gas (it is cleaner) Here were a few that really helped us, knock on wood we have not had one outbreak this year.to sum it up anything free and clear, det. it is a little more but so worth it All is the cheapest and my fav I went as far I buy the free and clear Clorox. LOTS AND LOTS of aveeno products I use there soap lotion anything, and last have you tried hydrocortizone (?) we had multi. strengths due to steriods as to what to use when anything else just ask

my sister has it. she has a cream from the dr. but when she was young red dyes in the clothes would bother it and getting to hot would irritate it. Also if she ate vinegar, strawberries , tomatoes and some other foods that I can't remember she would break out.
