questions
1-it depends on the store...
2-clearance ..I ussually get the item for free.the make the value of the coupon...whatever the price is..

Coupons are great, I've saved a ton of money just using them here and there when I have them on hand.

What's sad is, they either expired like 3 days before I went to the store or expire that day, OR I end up forgetting them and think..oh crap.

I used a coupon the other day for a free coke zero from mycokerewards. :) Well worth it.

Oh, I e-mailed Bush's about their Steakhouse Recipe Beans, and they sent me two 50 cent off coupons for them!

I have recently started using coupons. I love it!! I was just clipping some and also seen the Walgreens insert. I have quite a few BOGO coupons and using them at Walgreens makes it all that much cheaper!!!:) :)

I used to think Walgreen's wasn't worth my time. When I lived in Kansas we got a Walgreens about a year before I moved that I never went to. I moved to Lincoln, Nebraska and there's about 1 on every corner! I was looking through the ad one Sunday and saw a couple things I wanted. I used to just toss the ad aside. So I went and realized how much money I saved that I got every Sunday now! My hubby is always amazed at how much money I save lately!

I also just recently started using coupons on a regular basis. I used to just throw those away too. They have been a life saver on more than one occasion! Especially when I use the Walgreen's coupons and a manufacturer's coupon there!

i just have a little question concerning coupons. If you have a coupon for a free item and its on sale for buy one get on free, does it mean you get two free or what? and also if, for example an item is on clearance for $3 and you have a coupon for $5 off, can you still use the coupon and how much do you get off? One last question, if an item is free after rebate and you have a coupon, do you get the rebate check of what you paid with or without the coupon?

Sorry if i posted it in the wrong spot.
Thanx a lot!!

It is true what the others have said- it really depends on what store you go to and not only that, what cashier you get. I have not been able to use the B1, G1 coupon with the B1, G1 sale at CVS. I had the Glade coupons that they were referring to in another post and went to Walgreens. I got 4 of them and used the B1,G1 coupon and a $4 off coupon. The cashier said she didn't think that they would take the B1,G1 coupon, but she tried it and it went through. This is why I just got 4, instead of 2, so there wouldn't be as much of a hassle. She didn't look at the $4 one too closely, and the register took it with no problem. It's ashame that you never know what a store is going to allow and what it isn't. I guess some stores have policies regarding this, but I still find they are still inconsistent. Some stores mark down a coupon to the price of the item and I've had others tell me that they can't mark the coupon down. At least at CVS, the registers prompt them the reduced price to enter, so you don't make a profit, but you aren't hassled when using a coupon that is worth more than the sale/clearance price. Usually at Wal-Mart they just override it for me and give me the full amount off. But one time I had a cashier say that she couldn't take the coupon. I talked to a supervisor and they gave it to me for the sale price (reduced the coupon). Of course, your situation may be different from ours. I know that's not much help, but I hope it helps a little. Your best bet is to try it and just decide ahead of time, if they refuse it, are you going to get it anyway or have them take it off your receipt. The only thing I can answer with a definite is that I have always received the full amount of my rebate, not taking the coupon into consideration. I usually end up making a profit because of this. The only time this won't work is if the rebate says specifically that you get X amount back minus the coupon. Sometimes they have the coupon and rebate in the same ad, so they state this on the rebate. Places like Walgreens, always give you the full amount back.

I wanted to mention all the good bogo's in the p&g coupon insert in this Sundays paper. Cover Girl bogo, Pantene bogo, Febreze fabric refresher bogo, Febreze Candle and Air effects bogo. Nice ;)

CVS has a great sale on Pantene they're 3 x 9.99. there's a $2.00 off per bottle manuf Coupon, so you end up paying $3.00 for 3 bottles, Plus if you're using the CVS card you get $2.00 off towards the next purchase. (final price 3 x $1.00). ;)

CVS also has the Febreeze for $4.99..so using the BOGO you get 2 bottles for $5.00.

The Febreeze candle is on sale for $6.99 and there's a $4.00 off coupon...

Cover girl is Buy one get one free in the CVS flier also....

Dawn dish detergent is 99 cents..there's a 50 cent off coupon.

I don't know if they will allow the BOGO for Pantene plus the $2.00 coupon..I'll try it tonite...:D

I am a coupon fanatic. Just yesterday, I got pizza rolls for 30 cents!!! They were $1 each and i has coupons for .35 and my store doubles the coupons. Yesterday, I saved $27.00 with my coupons alone. Sometimes, I end up with toothpaste for free. It takes some time but the end result is worth it. My kids love looking at the bottom of my store receipt to see how much I saved.

Yesterday I received a notice saying KMart was doubling coupons this week, up to $2.00. That sounds great to me but I really am confused on what it means?
I use coupons all the time but no stores around my home do any kind of doubling on coupons so I have never had the pleasure of experiencing it. Could someone explain to me how doubling on coupons works?

laf76

They will double up to $2! Just that simple. Be sure that your Kmart is doing it since this is a promotion not at all Kmart stores. There may also be a limit on the amount of coupons you can bring in too! Just call yours and ask! My Kmart is not doing this until next week. :)

BTW.... spend time searching other forums to find out deals and even hidden deals people have found at different stores. That is what I do!

Last night I bought 54 refills for Airwick Freshmatic units for .67 each! They are a great seller on ebay. You will be surprised at many ways to use coupons!

:) This week I wanted to order several items from J.C.Penney's and did not have a coupon for discount or free shipping. Somewhere I had read that if you searched in Google you could usually find a discount code. I did that and found a code for 15% off! The 15% is about equal to the shipping charge for these items so I was very pleased. The nearst JC Penny store is 25 miles from me, so I have the items shipped to my home for an additional $2.00. With the price of gas this is certainly worth it. Also at the store the tax is 10% and when they ship to my home (no city tax) I only pay 5% tax! Love it! I am really getting spoiled to on-line and catalog shopping.

double coupons are the best it just means that if you have a coupon for .75 cents you will get $1.50 off instead of just .75. Shop rite is great for double coupons and they don't have a limit on how many you can use. Thanks for the heads up I'll check our Kmart and see if they are doing it.

Kmart here has the Super Double Coupons as well. I went there yesterday. If an item is $3.49 and you have a $2.00 coupon for it, they will give you $3.49 off, not $4.00. The only problem I had is with their new system. For example, if you are using a coupon for $1.00 off 2 items and the cashier doesn't click both items on the screen that flashes up, you will not get that coupon to double if the item is $1.00 each, or if the items are $1.50 each it will only take off $1.50 instead of $2. I guess they have this new system so that they don't give you back more than you paid, but if the cashier doesn't click on the second item (or the correct item), the register doesn't know to take off the correct amount. I had 5 coupons that didn't double because of this and 2 more that rang wrong because she clicked the wrong thing- I am going back tomorrow to get this fixed (I was overcharged more than $9.00 because of this, so it's worth going back to me). I hope this makes sense, if not, ask and I'll try to be more clear with what I am trying to say.

In most cases of "double coupon", the coupon will be doubled up to the price of the product. If the product is $1.00 and you have a $.75 coupon it will be doubled to $1.00 - the doubling of the coupon cannot exceed the price of the product. I have found this to be the policy in all the double coupon stores that I am familiar with.

This happened today at Kmart with the lady in front of me with the $1/2 coupon. The cashier told her they will not give you back more than you pay at the store. They owed her .35 cents but the manager said he wasn't going to pay her for shopping there. I really can't blame them. She was furious but she got everything for FREE so I don't know why she was upset over .35 cents.

I went to Waldbaum's yesterday, my original total was 223.48, after they scanned my store card and coupons my bill came to 154.18.

Then today I went to Walgreen's, they had the fructis family size shampoo and conditioner on sale for 5.99. I bought 6, with the $3 coupon in the easysaver catalog and manufacturer's coupons I had, instead of paying $36 I only paid $14.

Yeah, I don't blame them for not giving money back. Most stores won't do that. In my case though, I paid $2.50 for the two items and it only took off $1 instead of doubling it to $2. The manager tried to tell me that the $1/2 items coupons won't work, but I had a Glade $1/2 that doubled up to the price I paid, so I know that isn't true. I guess they still have a few bugs in their system, but I sure enjoyed it anyway.

I have heard that some Super K's are going to be doubling from 10/15-10/18. I went to a regular Kmart and had fun, I can imagine how much fun I would have at a Super K with all the food items. I am going to have to check that out :D .

Yep that happened to me too at Winn-Dixie. Winn-Dixie really frustrates me with their coupon policy and it seems that everything that is advertised that I use is always out of stock. Have to get a rain check and it is only good for 15 days:mad:

Winn-Dixie often advertises bo/go and because of the large quantity (family packages of meat especially), I cannot take advantage because 1. it would take DH & I months to use this much and 2. I don't have freezer space for that much meat:(

Another food store in my area ladvertises bo/go and they actually allow you to buy one at half-price. I wrote a letter to Winn-Dixie suggesting they change their policy for the above reasons. I have not received a response, so I guess the answer is "no"!

It seems that for the benefit of single or two person families that this would be a good policy and increase the sales of bo/go offers.

Today I went to Publix and used coupons for several items. I bought two $25.00 gas cards and had a coupon for $10.00 on two gift cards, so they only cost $40.00. I put them on my Discover card and will get an additional 5% rebate on it.

I had a rain check for 5# Domino sugar. Regular price is $2.99, rain check price was $1.99 and I had two $.50 off coupons. So I got 10# of sugar for $2.00.

They also honor a "courtesy coupon" from another store that closed several months ago, so I got $5.00 off on a $50.00 grocery order.

All together the bill was $77.00 and I paid $54.00. Of course $40.00 of that will be used for future gas purchases.

I felt that this was a good day!

I had a bad experience trying to use internet coupons at Walmart.

I've never had an issue using internet coupons at Walmart. I was told that Walmart made each associate sign a contract that they would not take any internet coupons. If they did then they are to be fired.

I was not happy at all. I had about 8 internet coupons to use with my purchase and I spent a lot more than I wanted to.

Just a heads up....this is coming to every Walmart as a company policy.

Anyone having trouble with Walmart and internet coupons, don't forget that you can print out their coupon policy, from their website, and carry it with you. If that doesn't work, call their corporate office at 1-800-WALMART and complain, as often as it takes, to straighten you local store out. I had to do that with my Walmart and now have hade no problems with them for several months. As long as the coupon scans with the regular or the hand scanner they are now taking them.

If that doesn't work, call their corporate office at 1-800-WALMART and complain, as often as it takes, to straighten you local store out. I had to do that with my Walmart and now have hade no problems with them for several months. As long as the coupon scans with the regular or the hand scanner they are now taking them.

Coupon Policy: http://walmartstores.com/7655.aspx

Thanks for the link! I will print it out.:)

I tried to show the Wal-Mart coupon policy that I had printed to a manager but she was not interested! I finally decided it was not worth the battle!

So far I havent had any problems using internet printable, coupons at our local WM. I try to make a point when checking out to go in line where the same people have been familiar with me for many years. The gals are always very helpful and friendly.

Recently I had a coupon for an item I was purchasing, and it was a manufacturing coupon that was for a specific competitive store. They let me use it. The manager said as long as it say's "Manufacturer Coupon" on it they are supposed to take them. She knew her stuff.

If anyone is having problems with your WM and coupons, I would definately go to their website and print a copy of their policy using coupons, and make sure to read it yourself so you have first hand knowledge. Carry it with you at all times.

Oh and by the way. In Sundays paper their WILL be a coupon insert from P&G. Make sure you look through the paper before buying to make sure it is their.

I love using coupons. I try to use as many as I can combined with sales. It is a lot of work but these day's I have to try to save as much as I can.

Recently I shopped at our local Meijers. They had groceries on sale and combined with coupons my total savings was $70.63 . My total OOP (out of pocket) was $47.82. ! (That is what using sales combined with coupons is all about!!:) Meijers non-coupon savings (sale prices) was 37.05 plus my coupon savings of $33.58 = $70.63 :)

Hello everyone! I guess I am pretty lucky because I have not had any problems at all with wal mart accepting internet coupons.. HOWEVER lol the big problem I have had was with them missing coupons because they were stuck together! Now before I go shopping I not only have my grocery list but I have a list of my coupons I am using and before I walk out of the store I compare my list to the reciept! The last 3 times I went shopping they missed coupons.. 2 of the coupons were for $2.00 off and one was a buy one 12 pack of coke get one free ( $4.16 ) I also keep a chart here on my computer of how much I save with coupons and price matches and for the month of November I saved $101.57! yup I use a LOT of coupons! I wish wal mart would start doubling in fact I drool at the thought lol We used to have a couple stores around here that did that but the super wal mart pretty much put them out of business by building so close to them :( Now all we have is wal mart and HEB..HEB some times has some pretty good sales and I LOVE making wal mart price match them!!:p yup its true I am a coupon addict and PROUD of it!! What a great habit to have!! Oh and by the way dont forget to start hitting all your favorite coupon sites.. the new month has started!! Happy Printing and Clipping everyone!:)

ok so I HAVE to tell you all this.. In my previous post in this thread I told about how I am so careful with checking the coupons I give to the cashiers at wal mart against my reciept before I leave the store. Well on wed. I went in and did my regular shopping .. checking my lists and such, after checking out I realized I still had to pick something up for my mom in the pharmacy, so just glanced at my grocery receipt and didn't check it as close as I normally do Well I figured I would load up my groceries into my truck and run back in. First off it took over 20 mins just to get to the counter and another 15 to get something that turned out to be an item that wasn't even a prescription ughhhhh ( no one told me that when I went to the drop off counter to ask about it) Well when I got home ( I live about 20 miles away) I got things put up and then I sat down to go over my receipt again and wouldn't you know it.. she didn't scan one of my coupons! It was a B1G1 for body wash and it was for $1.87. So I called wal mart and the first girl I talked to put me on hold and checked the register and sure enough there was my coupon. She came back and told me that it must have been rung up because the price was written on it... I WROTE it on there duh then she put me on hold again and then again and then again. Then I was told that if I came back in they would give me my $1.87 I said thank you and that I would be in again on fri. explaining where I live, I was then told that it would be to late by then because the coupon would be gone.. omg.. I told her again how far away I live and it was not possible for me to go back to town that night. She then put me on hold AGAIN. The next person to pick up was a man from LP ( Loss prevention) can you believe that one! lol After explaining to him the problem he told me to come in Fri and they would pull the security tapes at that time and decided what to do and when I kinda laughed he asked me " how do I even know you are the one who brought in the coupon in the first place( like he was calling me a liar! How would I even know it was there id I hadnt given it!) he then told me we would have to wait to see how the till came out.. Already upset I asked him " if I come in right now are you going to pull the till and count it? and then he got even more ****y and said " Im not going to make a decision on this tonight and that was final! At this point I had already been on the phone for a little over and hour about this and I was, needless to say, Highly ****ed off. I asked to speak to the store manager and was told she was gone for the day so I asked for an asst. manager. Her name is Sue and after explaining once again what the issue was and how long I had been on the phone and how the LP man I talked to was rude and being a ****y butt! She was very nice and said how sorry she was for all this and that when I come in Friday to mention her name and it would be taken care of.. it took all of 5 seconds for her to say this and to close this issue... Simple as that! Well I went in today and as a couple of days had passed I had calmed down ( ok ok just a little bit) but truth be told I was ready for a fight lol I When my turn came after standing in line for 15 mins I started explaining to the lady and she said.. well we don't have the coupon.. omg I was about to seriously have a big fit when another girl walked up and told her she would take care of it. Turns out she was the very first person I talked to that night and she knew what was going on! SOOOO I got my $1.87 !
I spend a lot of time searching for and printing and clipping and price matching and organizing and I'm proud of it and the amount of savings and the deals I find and get so today when it was all said and done my husband asked me.. " was going through all that just to get back $1.87 worth it? I just smiled and said YES IT WAS...its $1.87 that we have and $1.87 that wal mart does not lol at least until next week when I go grocery shopping again and they get it right back lol
By the way getting that back also brought my total coupons savings for that trip to $28.15!

:p sry this was so long! lol

Ginnycakes

WTG!!:)

Every penny saved is a penny earned and in your case $28.15 saved. That is a great savings and it only gets better. The more you learn about getting the best deals and using coupons the more you can save off your total each week. Your husband will come around... mine did:D

You'll also learn (if you havent already) how to get free or practically free household cleaning supplies, beauty items like shampoo's, conditioners, deodorant, razors, candles etc. A lot of these good deals you can get from Walgreens, CVS, RiteAid. By using man. coupons combined with their in store coupons and taking advantage of rebates.

Sorry it was such a hassle for you to get your Money back for BOGO item at WM. But you did get it back and I am glad you stuck to your gun's. That $1.87 was yours rightfully.

I also live about 20 miles from WM and the main Stores and nothing is more frustrating then finding out, after you get home, that they made a mistake on your grocery bill.

I now try to watch every transaction that scans up and dont hand over my coupons till the very end. I have eagle eyes, LOL. and If I think their was a mistake made, I will ? it (very politely), and not leave the store until I go over my receipt. :)

I always review my cash register tape before I leave WM. Several times they have charged me for more items than I purchased - example: I bought two 24 pks of bottled water at $4.99 each. The cashier rang up three! I went to customer service and got my money back. This is just one example, so look at your tape carefully before you leave the store.

Last week I had bought several pillows and several grocery items. When I looked at the tape it looked okay - right quantity for pillows, etc. When I unloaded the merchandise into my car I discovered that a package of OTC medication which cost $7.00+ was under the pillows and had not been scanned. I was awfully tempted to put it in the car and go home but I knew my conscience would get to me, so I went back in the store, checked with the greeter on what had happened, stood in line AGAIN to pay for the one item. I felt good that I had done the right thing even though it was a pain in the b*** to do it!

yayyy ! That is what I call good karma! I have done that with toilet paper and a few others things too at different times! What bothers me is that we have to watch and make sure that their employees do there job correctly ! ( maybe they should pay us for being supervisors lol)! I do normally stop somewhere and check my coupon list against the reciept before I walk out but the thing is we shouldnt have to. I had one cashier about a month ago that was so awesome! There was a long line behind me but she took her time and everything came out perfect.. bad thing.. I havent seen her there since:( ok Im off to eat some chocolate now lol

I haven't checked in on this thread in a while but I agree that it is sad that you have to check to make sure cashiers are doing their jobs right. This is why I do self scan check out whenever I can. I like that I can watch my items ring up more carefully than when the cashiers do it. Sometimes they go so fast that items ring up at the wrong price or more than once and you can't catch it.

Well it was back to Wal mart again today for my weekly shopping trip! This time I had a cashier that I have been to before and the last time he checked me out he missed 2 coupons.. lol this time when I pulled out my all my coupons he remembered me! Well he took his time and everything came out right!! yayyyy!! Today was a very good day too .. I had $28.53 in coupons and I saved $20.55 in price matches for a grand savings total of $49.08!! My favorite was on my 12 packs of coke( I got 4 of them). they are 4.16 a 12 pack and I got them price matched for $3.33 and then I had 2 coupons for bogo ( from coke rewards) so I actually got 2 cases for $6.66~~ less than the price of one 24 pack! ( $6.98) I saved nearly $10.00 in that deal!!!

ok here is a question... Has anyone ever bought coupons off e bay? If you have.. was it a good thing? I just found out about them yesterday and I was looking through them I saw the coke coupons I used today but it seemed like the person had 100's of them and it seemed kinda funny to me.. I dont know so I thought I would ask here!

Happy printing and clipping!:)

I have purchased coupons off of ebay before (mixed lots and for specific products) I have always had good luck and never had a problem. My advice is to read the auction very carefully and to always check the sellers feedback before you buy from them. You can get great deals especially if you are looking for a particular coupon!!

Hope this helps!

Hi All,

This is my first time posting so bear with me if I don't get it right. Today I went to our local Walmart with coupons in hand and on a mission. Our Walmart takes internet coupons, luckily. Well, I purchased Nestle Water 24 pak, Scrubbing Bubbles Action Scrubber, Scott Tissue, 4 Ziploc Big Bags, 1Colgate Toothbrush, and Bounty Paper Napkins. A total of $42.77, less $24.14 in coupons and spent $18.63. Wow was I amazed. I found ziploc big bag buyone/get one free coupons somewhere in this maze of freebies and saved big. This is great. My daughter is being transferred back to the states and is setting house from scratch so I am looking for great coupons to be able to help her get started with her household staples. Thanks to all.:)

I had a coupon bonanza in Walgreens tonight. My order came out to 37.98, but between Walgreens and manufacturer coupons it came out to 12.68. They have the Garnier Fructis on sale for 2.99 and with the $2 coupon in their catalog along with 4 $1 manufacturer coupons I had it cost me -.84, they also have the Electrasol gel pacs on sales for 3.49 w/a rebate for 1.50, but I also had a coupon for 2.50. I also found infusium shampoo marked down to 4.19, but I had a $3 coupon.

I love when Walgreens has their Easy Saver Rebate for Glade and S C Johnson products.....

I cleaned up in October. Glade Flameless candles were on sale for $5.99 and I had $5 off coupons. THEN, they were giving $3.00 off your next shopping order when you purchase one.....Then the scented oil candles were on rebate, and I had coupons for those.....and I had buy the warmers refill and get a warmer free, plus a rebate on the warmer refill, and a buy one get one free coupon for the refill.....and then the cleaning products were on sale, and I had coupons, plus buy one get one free coupons PLUS the rebate...add all my $3.00 off shopping orders.....after getting my $22.00 back in rebates (going on line and redeeming it so no stamp or envelope charge), Walgreens ended up paying me for some of the stuff. Plus, I gave some of those scented oil candles (in the fancy holders) as gifts. I still have some stashed under my bed, along with some flameless candles!!! :D

Hello All,

I am couponing with a vengence. Today, my purchase at the commissary totaled $187.73 including the surcharge. But wait, I'll break it down.

$187.73 before coupons minus $86.50 coupons for a final total of $101.23. If you take away $9.57 for four items that didn't have coupons (had to buy them) the total would have been $91.66.

When I got home, two of the items had $4.00 (each) coupon booklets attached and then the mail ran and I received $9.00 in additional coupons and a sample of truvia sweetner. I must say Yeah for me. Thanks everyone for your help. By the way, I called V8 soups and juice companies yesterday and requested that they send me coupons. The telephone numbers are on the product and you must have the UPC code and some other codes available to give the customer service rep. Both calls the reps were very nice. I don't know the value yet, but it was worth the telephone call to ask. :)

i go to stores that do doubling.also my store if they have 10 for 10.00 they allow me to use 10 coupons for 50 cents and then they get doubled to 1.00 so i am getting all 10 for free.i went the other day and got 6 packages of meat and a bunch of odd n ends and my total was 109.00 before coupons after coupons it was 52.46.i saved 56.54 just on that shopping trip.i go to three different stores and i am always watching the ads for sales.then i will go to walmart and show them the ad because they have to honor it.then on top of that i will have a coupon for the item that is on sale at the other store.my walmart allows me to use about 50 to 60 coupons at a time.i buy all our personal products there.i find their cleaning products are cheapier there than some stores.

Ok I know that this is probably a stupid question, but here it is anyway. I always check KMarts website to try and find out when they are doing the double coupons, but I can never find it. I am also on their email list and it never says it. Anyone wanna let me know how I can do it. If you can't tell I am quite brain dead on my spring break!:p

I don't think that they put it on the main part of the site. I get their emails too and they have never sent me notice of it either. What I do is go to the Kmart website and click on the link for my weekly ads. When you put in your zip code all the current ads for the stores come up. When it is a Super K that is doubling it shows it right on the front page if it is participating. I looked on their website early this morning and saw they were having it by me, so I actually went there today :D. I don't receive any Super K ads in my paper, so that helps me alot. If it is a regular Kmart, it should show on the front of it as well, or be in the weekly ad if you receive it. I know once they sent a flier to my house about the doubles at Kmart and then once they didn't advertise it at all, but I read about about in another forum and went to my Kmart and they were doing it. Hope you get them- Good luck!

I had two internet coupons for $5.00 any Huggies Gentle Care Diapers product- well at first you would think that you can only use it for the diapers....but you can use it on the Gentle Care wipes (they scanned with no problems at all). So I got two of the big bags at Target for $5.99 each so after the coupons they were $0.99 each!!! I just printed two more off from my work computer and I am going to buy two more bags!! I got the coupons on coupons.com

I have a big binder FULL of coupons. I match them up with store sales to get some fabulous deals. Its hard to believe the amount of FREE stuff I get when I do this. I have enough shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, dish soap and aluminum foil to last for at least 2 years. Its awesome!!

Way to go, LisainGA! If you get too much on hand you can always share with friends, family, women's shelters and other charity organizations. Keep up the good work! During this time of high unemployment, every little bit helps.

Since I discovered Walgreens Register Rewards, it's like I am there every day - each time with 2 transactions. First, I buy whatever they are offering RRs on and use all of the eligible coupons I have for them. Then, I get a printout of RRs, sometimes totaling close to $20. Then, I buy any other items I need (with or without coupons) and pretty much get all of the items for free. The other day, I bought $24 worth of products for $2.07!

Today I saved $32 in coupons. I had two coupons for $10 off a 7lb bag or larger of Iams dogfood. I ended up getting 14lbs of dogfood for less than $4. I got my free salsa from the pace hand pick and win game and free toothpaste. Not a bad shopping trip :)

I try to put 2 coupons on top of a buy one/get one free sale. Last week I got 4 packs of yoplait fiber yogurt for 25 cents doing that. Once I found coupons for $4 off on Pace salsa and combined that with one of those deals... it meant that the grocery store paid me $12 to carry 4 jars of salsa out of their store.
The two grocery stores in town have those sales every week and I scour the internet and clip from the newspaper coupons to go with them. I try to do most of my shopping from the buy one/get one free stuff and I usually have a savings that matches the amount that I spent.

I tried to use two coupons for the bo/go at the Winn-Dixie near my home and they would only allow me to use one coupon - explanation was that I was only buying one! When they scan the first item it scans at full price then the second one (free one) scans price as "zero".

Publix and Food World scan each item with the price (one half of the advertised price) and I was allowed to use two coupons.

It seems that Winn-Dixie often advertises "bo/go" items but because of our household only being two people we cannot use (or have space to store/freeze) two packages such as meat. Winn-Dixie is often sold out of the advertised items and their rain check is for only 15 days. A few times I have checked back in a few days and they still do not have the items in stock. For these reasons I seldom shop at Winn-Dixie.:(

don't give them your Winn Dixie card until they run your coupons.. that might work
