Jessica was admited to ICU at our local hospital this morning for complications with breathing. I dont have much info at the moment because we have been unable to see her. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. I am at the hospital waiting to get the details, we should be able to go back in about 30 or so minutes.

Ok Jess is in a normal room now. She wasnt passing out so I dont know where that came from.
Yesterday she went to the dr to get a breathing treatment. It worked for a few hours. Then she had another attack so she went to the ER. 20 minutes after she went home she had another attack that was pretty severe. So back to the ER again. This time they measured her breath and oxygen. It is lower than normal, so they put her in ICU and did breathing treatments every hour or so. She got shots of steriods and seems to be breathing better for the moment. She has to stay tonight and hopefully will be released tomorrow.
She thanks you all for the prayers. I am home to get her clothes, blankets, and the DVD player. They really havent been able to give her anything to relax, so hopefully this will help.

Prayers for Jess- I can relate so well to what she is going through- I, too, have Asthma and have been hospitalized numerous times to count for having attacks!! The steroids will definetly help her lungs and the constriction of her airways....whenever it is winter I have to be super careful that a cold or sinus infect., etc doesn't turn into something bad with my lungs and end up in the hospital as well!!
My heartfelt sympathy goes out to ya hun.......HUGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you to everyone for the thoughts! They do mean alot. I just left the hospital, from being there all day. As of right now she appears to be doing great. There is still alot of junk in her lungs that won't seem to break up and go away. She is off her IV and on oxygen as needed. Hopefully she will return home tomorrow. It's hard to rest when you are in the hospital :( .
I told her all of you are thinking about her! ;)

She is doing much better. They want to keep her overnight again tonight because she is still weezing. She is off her IV and oxygen. She is still doing breathing treatments every 4 hours, so she cant seem to get much rest. :( I think they are keeping her just in case she has another attack. It would stink to get home and have to go right back.
I am going to see her when I get off work. If anything changes I will let everyone know.

{{{{{{Jess}}}}}} Get well soon hon!!!!
DeAnna~ Thank you hon for keeping us updated. I think it is a good idea the hospital is keeping her for one more night. After her breathing treatment does the RT "pound" on her back to help loosen up her lungs?
Our youngest daughter has asthma and I've been in this situation many times with her. The RT did that for her ( pounding) and it really helped out A LOT!
Take care Jess and feel better soon!
Hugs,
Mae

Hey everyone! I'm finally home!! Boy, what a relief to be home sweet home! You all will never know how much I appreciate your thoughts and prayers and well wishes! I greatly appreciate each and every one!
I was really bummed this all happened right when I was supposed to be going on my first trip ever to Gatlingburg, which was also going to be free, and also a much needed get away trip. But all things happen for a reason. And I'm sure I will get another chance to go soon.
Having asthma is absolutely no fun. I'm taking this experience and going to start and have already started making some changes to hopefully prevent from this ever happening like this again. I have never stayed in the hospital before over night, except when I was born ofcourse. And 2 months ago when I had my first episode of the asthma attack, was my first time ever having to go to the ER, so I was a bit scared there for a while. This all just really snuck up on me extremley fast. But I had an awesome team of nurses and doctors working with me and I am very thankful for them and their wisdom in what they do. They saved my life, if you will. Along with my dbf and mom who worked together getting me to the ER safely.
I'm feeling a lot better already. I can definitely breath much better. I had a touch of bronchitis as well. So I'm on lots of meds
Well, I guess I will just stop here. I know yall don't want to know my whole life storey, and I'm not one to go talking about myself, looking for attention or pitty or nothing like that. I just wanted to let you all know how much I appreciated everything. And to let everyone know I'm home and on the road to recovery.

Thank yall very much. I'm having a hard time getting my sleep at night still. I keep waking up every hour, I guess looking for the nurses to come bring me more medicine and breathing treatments, lol. Part of the reason my asthma got so bad is b/c I came down with bronchitis, which is in the bronchial tubes...which is where asthma starts up too, where the bronchial tubes constrict and cause me to wheeze and have my asthmatic symptoms. So, the 2 of those together is not the best combination. :( Hopefully this will all get out of my system soon!!! It totally sucks!

Thank you all ladies! Yep, trying my hardest to follow these orders on all the medicines and stuff. I'm getting so frustrated, there's all these different little things I have to do at different times. And the medicine has me all feeling different and it's just no fun. I will probably be going back to work on Wednesday. So hopefully by then I will have this routine down pat and some energy built back up. Thank yall for being so nice :o :)

That's great your son has outgrown it! I thought I had out grown mine, which they say you don't ever get rid of it ofcourse, but with allergies, stress, cold weather, and viruses going around, my body just took a beating and gave in I guess  Thank you for your prayers.
