Please pray for our adoptive family and our friend that just lost his wife. Lucy was one of the people I did the breast cancer walk for, and yesterday she passed away. Around the time of the walk she took a turn for the worse, she was on oxygen and couldn't do anything. When I talked to my mom she told me she passed yesterday late afternoon. She had stage 4 breast cancer and had actually survived, but sadly about a year ago found out it was back. She was such an amazing person. My mother showed her the picture of my shirt and told her how she was one of the people I did the walk for, and she was so happy. Mom said she couldn't make out the picture but she just smiled. I am glad I did something for her before she passed. Also my grandmother (adopted grandmother, but she is better than my real ones) lost her brother about 3 weeks ago to cancer also. She is having a very hard time dealing with both deaths as they were all so close and they were both amazing people. I just ask that all of you pray for them to make it through this ok. Thanksgiving was nice, but my grandmother was very upset so both of these poeple were supposed to be there and it was hard to not have them there. They always had a smile on their faces and were always there for us when we needed them.

Sadly next year I will have to have 2 people on my shirt under "In Memory Of" instead of just one. I know both of these people will be missed dearly.:(

By the way, she was trying so hard to battle it again, but the cancer took her down to 65lbs before she passed. Her husband got home just a matter of hours before she passed as he is a truck driver and could not be home when he needed to be.

Thanks everyone, I know your prayers will help the family get through this horrible loss.

Thanks everyone. It really makes me sad to even think about it. I just remember seeing her with her pink hat on (she lost all of her hair from the treatments) and her smiling and laughing. She was always in such a good mood because she knew she was lucky to have survived.

Thanks everyone!

I sure hope they can find a cure for cancer in the next decade. They found a cure (well not a complete cure but it keeps them from feeling any effects) for AIDS, so hopefully cancer is next. I don't want to lose anyone else to cancer or any other terrible disease.
