Not a product I sampled, but one I love!

I got a big bottle of saddle soap at a local farm supply store for under $4 and use it on my leather upholstery in my car and on my light beige leather furniture inside. It seems to get really dirty, especially from residue from blue jeans.

I ahve used ALL the expensive cleaners, including leather master strong cleaner and tons of scrubbing.

The saddle soap makes it look like new with minimal scrubbing and is so much cheaper!

Just thought I'd share!

I agree with you on the saddle soap! When it came down to really soiled leather boots at a cobbler's shop I worked at years ago, it meant bringing out the saddle soap. (You'd be amazed at what conditon some people bring their shoes into the store!) The fancy leather cleaners like Lexol will work, but the saddle soap does an excellent job with less product at a much lower cost. I've used saddle soap on a pair of knee high leather boots that I received as a gift in 1980, and they still remain supple and look great!

I remember my mom always had saddle soap on hand, now I don't remember why or what she used it on but she had to have it and used it on only God knows what, lol I have to laugh at some of the things my mom would do, great memories!

I use Mad Cow on my leather items( saddle, bridle, boots etc) it works fantastic! Leather Therapy works great also; alsong with CPR and good ol' glycerine soap!
