Twilight is going to be coming out November 21, 2008. Has anyone read the books to this series?

The series is wrote by Stephenie Meyer. She is phenomenal! I have read all of them, and have every book! I am completley addicted to the series and am ecstatic about seeing this movie! Hopefully the Twilight movie will do well enough, to where they will do a movie on each book.

If you have not read this series, or at least the first book, Twilight, and like to read every once in a while... do yourself a favor and read this book! You will not be disappointed!

Modern day!! It's directed towards a younger crowd, but this series really hit it off big time with ALL age groups!!!

Nope, they are just making a movie of the first book. And I am assuming, that depending on how well this movie does, they will probably make a movie on each book. I hope anyway! :D

Me too!! Either way, it will still be great!! I think the characters they picked to play Edward and Bella are perfect! They fit almost perfectly with the picture I had in mind of them while reading the books. ;)

I have that book, The Host! I have read it and you heard right, it is amazing! Very different, so it took me a few chapters to really get into it. But when I did, I couldn't put it down!! That would be cool if she did write books on some of the characters! Especially Renesme!!

So they were talking about, on the news this afternoon, how huge this movie is expected to be when it finally comes out on Friday! They were saying "it's a girls Harry Potter book" I guess meaning this series has captured the hearts of a lot of young ladies out there :p I'm guilty on this one! The news also said lots of the movie theatres are already sold out on their tickets for the movie! It's going to be very interesting to see how much $$ this one brings to the table!

Well you know how some people are :rolleyes: There is always those that have to try and ruin it for others. But, I won't listen to the bad reviews. I'm thining some people are trying too hard to compare the movie with the book and you just can't do that. Books always have a lot more detail to it.

Ya I know that sometimes I am upset with the Harry Potter movies because they make certain not so important parts big in the movie and leave out alot of details, but I think they do that to sell the book more also. You don't deserve to know all the details and good parts if you can't get yourself to read the book. Books are to help your imagination and for you to put the story the way you want in your head, so why let a director do all of that for you?! As long as you can go into the movie expecting some of the good parts to be left out or not that big a part of the movie then I think you will like the movie.

I loved the movie, and since the majority of the people in the theater were kids from our school, there was a lot of screaming when Edward came on screen. I really liked it, and plan to get it when it comes out on DVD.

I loved it! It was a bit cheesy here and there mainly b/c they fell in love kind of quick and all. It's hard to include every detail from a 400 something page book, so of course there were some things left out (that probably should have been included in the movie, to help others who haven't read the book understand a little better). But it was really good! I know the second movie will be A LOT better. I think this movie was a test to see how well the whole turning a book into a movie with this one would do, so I don't think the movie was put together as great as it could have been. But all in all it was a great movie! It was so awesome to see this book played out on a big screen! I can't wait for the next movie to come out!
And as far as Edward goes.... :eek: :D ;) I'm speechless. The Cullen family was hillarious! Charlie, Bella's dad, was hillarious too! I just loved it! I don't want to say too much for those who haven't seen the movie yet.

i finally had a moment and the extra to money to go see twilight....AHHH!!! it was so freaking amazing!!! Im in love all over again, i was minorly dissapointed, but nothing that staring at the screen with edward on couldnt fix. I might also add that i was very amused by Jasper!! <3

My daughters are reading the books after they saw the movie. That's all they talk about now!!! :eek: They LOVED the movie and are really enjoying reading the books.

i finally had a moment and the extra to money to go see twilight....AHHH!!! it was so freaking amazing!!! Im in love all over again, i was minorly dissapointed, but nothing that staring at the screen with edward on couldnt fix. I might also add that i was very amused by Jasper!! <3

yes, the books are way better than the movie. If I didnt read the books I would be a little lost about the movie. It's a myspace page I just made for the pictures, I added you! :O)

It was fun! Not what I was expecting though. The release party I went to was at Books A Million. I was expecting there to be a little more excitement going on, but it was pretty low key. There were lots of people there though and we had a good time hanging out with everyone! I've got my movie and have already watched it twice :p

I was dissapointed, my son got sick so we didnt go to the release party. We went to FYE in the next day and the boyfriend asked about the tote bag, he said we foffited our rights when we didnt go to the release party. N=But when we pre-ordered the other guy that worked there said that for every pre-order there was a bag. So when i got my movie i did not get the bag, so i emailed corprate, and i have my tiwilight bag coming...i can not wait !!:D

Sorry to hear you didn't get to go to the release party. I hope your son is feeling better! I didn't get a tote bag at all...:( I wonder if that offer was only for certain states or something like that?
