Emilys upcoming surgery!!

Please keep my family and Emily in your prayers as we are reaching a year from her tragic accident!! They will be removing the plates from both of her hips on November 4th!! I just can't stand the thought of her going into surgery again!! I hate to think of her being in pain again!
They said she will be in the hospital for a short time. She will not be able to do to much for about a week. I know she is a very stong little girl, but this is still going to be hard on us!!

Emily is resting now. Thats more than I can say for me!! I can never get rest away from home. and the bed they give us to sleep on is not very good for two of us!! So I am back to the computer room!

Emily rested good all night. The pain meds work great!! We are waiting for the doctor to come talk to us now, to see when we can get her home. she is not walking just yet, but they will make her do that today before they let us leave.

I just put Emily down for the night(I hope) with some pain meds. She is not ready to even try to stand or walk. It hurts her so much. The trip home was not to bad. We had to stop at McDonalds, that makes it all better!!! She still has a long road ahead of her. Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers.
They let her keep her parts and pieces that they took out. She is taking them to school next week to show her class.

Emily did pretty good today. She is still hurting a lot, but will not take the pain meds!! She has not made it up to bed just yet, but she loves being on the love seat. We went for a ride in the car today and she loved that, but it took a lot out of her. She gets pretty mad when I make her try to stand, but I will keep making her try.

This morning at 4 a.m. Emily gave me a good scare!! She came to my bed and said she was in a lot of pain, so I made her daddy get her some pain meds and while he was getting that she found blood!! She freaked and I freaked out! At 4 a.m. you can't really tell if it is bad or not. So I waited until 8 and called the doctor and he said to just keep and eye on it and put new bandages on it and change them a few times a day. She has really been trying to get better and I think she is over doing it. But she will not just sit and relax! She has not been feeling very good today. Looks like no school fo r a few more days. She likes that idea.

she will not get out of bed today. She is pretty fussy. I told her she did not have to go to school until Thursday and she thought tht was pretty cool!! So she is just relaxing today....Finally!! I think with the other two girls being home over the weekend made her want to get up and play, so everyone is off to school and Emily can rest.

Emily did get up today for a bit, she went outside and walked around in the leaves, but now is in a lot of pain again, so I just gave her some meds. She will be out in no time and resting for the night. This has been hard on her, poor thing!!

I put some cream on it and bandages and gave her some pain meds, so I am calling the doctor in the morning to see what they want me to do. She goes in on Friday to see the doctor, I don't know if they will want us to come before that or if they will wait until then.

they told me to watch for it and call them if it happened. I talked to my cousin who is a nurse and she said to call the doctor first thing in the morning and they will probally call in some antibiotics for her.

I took the girls roller skating today and Emily would not do it!!! She put on the skates and went out and came right back and said she was too scared to skate. I asked her why she was scared and she said it was because of the tractor! That is the first time anything has scared her sense the accident!
