That is so cool! My husband works next door to a P.O. so I won't have a problem. I was just curious if people weighed their stuff at home or not.

I go to the post office and I find if I use the machine, it gets there faster than if I stand in line and speak to a real person. One time, it took it over 3 weeks to get there and I went inside and stood in line and she weighed and stamped it!

I just go and use the automated machine now.

I just go to the person working, my post office is so small there is never anyone there in line, so no waiting, things go pretty good for me. I have never had to pay over $2.00 for a coupon train.

I did put coupon train #3 on the outside. It cost me less than $1 to mail it. That is a first for me. I think it was 76 cents.:eek:

You did not need to worry about getting it back out that soon. It could have waited until you felt up to going thru it and picking some out for you! I hope you are recoverying well and are back on your feet soon!!!

Sorry Girls, I didn't get the train out yesterday but... we are in luck and I have added a bunch of coupons!

We have a newspaper in education program and it just happens that we got the Sunday paper the last two weeks so I have made it a center in my room for the kids to cut out the coupons. :) THEY LOVE IT!:D

They all got to take home a sheet with Chuckie Cheese coupons on it today! They were on cloud 9! Anyhow, as long as I can keep them cutting I will stock up for us!

Yes, I got the coupons on Saturday. I can't get out today as we are iced in. Maybe I will get out tomorrow. I added mine and am ready to mail them back out. Hopefully we won't have more bad weather tonight and we will get out in the morning. Everything has shut down due to the ice on the roads. It's only 5 degrees here but the windchill has it at negative 1. I hope they come around with ice and sand trucks!

I got to the post office today. On it's way to DeAnna in Tennessee. Everything is just in one envelope and not sorted between categories. I just put in everything I had and added it to what I had gotten from Becky. Never got the original train envelope so we will have to build it back up. It was still 5.7 ounces which isn't too bad.

I'm not sure what's going on but the last 3 times I have gotten the train I have not taken a single coupon out. Is is possible that we all try to put more coupons in as we receive the train? Not complaining at all but the food only had about 25 coupons and the non food didnt have much more than that. I have added all the coupons I have to it. I will save up more for the next round, and try to add 100 or so. Again not complaining but if we are all not benefiting, maybe we should think of some ways to make it better. :)

Yeah, things seem to have slowed down in the coupon arena. The teacher across the hallway from me even brings me hers but there hasn't been much. I have subscribed to All You, maybe I will get more that way.

I didn't know if it was me or what. The coupons have really been lame in the paper lately. What happened to the super Sundays of three or four great sections? When we have good weeks I go and buy another Sunday paper. I've got extras I'm not using and will be sure to stick them in the envie when I get it. Hopefully tomorrow's couponing will be good in our paper. :)

Oh my, ya'll should see the condition the envie got here in! :eek: It came in one of those OOPS envelopes from the post office. Luckily, the coupons were barely damaged, but the envelope was trashed.

I'll go through things this weekend and get it back out. A fair number expired at the end of April.

Hi girls! I got the train on Saturday. It was covered in ants. I am sure the mailman and post office love me. There were crumbs all in the envelope. Looked like crushed candy canes?!:confused:, maybe cookies. crumbs were white and pink. But not sticky. It was inside the envelope and all over the tape also.

Anyhow, I opened it outside and disposed of most of the ants in the trash. I am putting new baggies in as they were everywhere. It will go out today or tomorrow.

Just a thought.....Could we keep it to a reasonable weight limit??
Sometimes they can get so heavy and then we are paying out lots to send them to the next person and then we are not saving money.....and that is why we are doing the trains is to save money.
Someone emailed me and said the last train they mailed cost $4.00 to send.
I don't want anyone to feel like they have to spend too much to mail them out.

That's crazy! How do you determine the amount of postage you put on? I always take it to the post office and weigh it.:rolleyes:

Anyhow...I will be on the look-out. I have happy meal coupons to add again. We got the books at school this week and several teachers were going to throw theirs away! CRAZY!:( So...I rescued them and will share with the train. I will put in several sheets of them.

All you have to do is fill in book names and sign it. It says it's good for a chicken nugget happy meal. My Mickey D's lets us get any happy meal (which makes sense since chicken nuggets is the most expensive) but the ones in the next town make you get the chicken nuggets. Anyhow, take some, share some. I will add more next round also. Please don't take more than you will use so we can spread the wealth ~ or free food!:D

OK! I am in Chicago right now so I have not gotten it yet. I had the kids check the mail Friday and it was not there so maybe it will come early next week. I know there is no mail tomorrow because of Columbus Day.

Actually, yes I do. I received an envelope on Saturday from the Kansas City Postmaster addressed to me. I did not open it until yesterday. Inside were a bunch of loose coupons and the original envelope addressed to me from Covette. There was also a little piece of plastic baggie that once was.:eek:

The envelope that was originally sent was coated in grease and destroyed. Anyhow, I must go through the coupons and reorganize them and then I will get it back out today or tomorrow.:rolleyes:

It's the holiday season! I guess they just get too much going through the machines. I would say it overheated or something and melted the baggies. Not sure. But it was a mess! Not to worry, I added more and took out the ones that will expire and it is on it's way!
