Hey all!
I am taking our youth group to our church's national youth gathering in Orlando at the end of July. We have 12 youth going and 3 adults. We would like to do something extra with the kids that does not cost a ton of money. We are on a tight budget.
Any suggestions? Any help is appreciated!

Do a search on google, just type in what city and then free sightseeing tours, such as "Orlando florida sightseeing tours for children" Or remember there are things like Museums, Zoo's, Art exhibits, Cultural events, Plays at local theatre's for children.

If you will be near Kissimmee 192 area. On Friday and Saturday nights starting around 6:30 they have a car show everyweek at Old Town. Friday night it is 1973 and newer and Saturday is 1973 and older models. It is really fun and FREE. Old Town does have rides and shops also. I guess I should mention restaurants since my Uncle owns the A & W & the ice cream shop.
And don't bother looking for free museums or tours - this is the tourist capital and nothing is really free. Sorry to let you down. There are a lot of things to do here just not much for free. I would avoid Downtown Orlando on a Friday or Saturday night - mostly bar hopping crowds.
The following is a link provided by the Orlando/Orange County Visitors Bureau. They have lots of info there. http://www.orlandoinfo.com/

Thanks for the info.
I'm going to Florida next month to see the Space Shuttle go up. I'm going to be there for about a week and a half, so I have some time to explore.
