Please Pray for Daughter-In-Law

Please pray for My Daughter-In-Law Adrienne. She had a biopsy done 2 weeks ago on her Thyroid and it came back positive for Thyroid Cancer. Her next Doctor Appt. with surgeon Is Monday (Tomorrow) and they will set everything up for surgery to have her Thyroid removed . Hopefully it is contained and after having it removed she will go through radiation . She will be on medication for the rest of her life, but that is a small price to pay for having the rest of her life ahead of her. We pray it is contained in her thyroid and she will be alright. She is only 23 and her and my son just celebrated their 1st Anniversary end of June. They just bought a fixer-upper house and she just started her First Teaching Job (Requirment for last semester of College to get her Art Major). We are all devastated. Their are many prayer requests going out for her and we can use many more...Thank You Friend's. I will keep you posted.

I have a friend with the same cancer, she is in her 30's, and she is ok now. It is a highly treatable and cureable cancer, with a success rate of 98% I believe. I will pray for her, she has many many great years ahead of her, but she needs everyones support at a time like this, and prayers work wonders. Hugs to you and your family. Please keep us posted.

Thank you Cpogie and momsangel. The success rate is high for Thyroid cancer if it is contained. That is what we are praying for. We are all keeping her positive and occupied with everyday life. She is a very spiritual beautiful girl with a lot of faith in God.

Adrienne met with the surgeon and her scheduled surgery date is set for October 7th.

Update on my Daughter-in -Law Adrienne,

As you know Adrienne's surgery was scheduled for the seventh Tuesday.( yesterday) . They had to cancel the surgery because they just discovered on Monday evening that Adrienne is expecting!!

They were trying to conceive before they found out she had Thyroid cancer. Well she must have gotten pregnant about the time of her diagnosis. They had to cancel her surgery since she is in the first tri-semester. She figures she is about 4 to 5 week's along. Doctor say's they will keep up with tests and checkup's and when the baby is in it's second tri-semester it might be safe to have the surgery. Or the other posibility would be wait till the baby is born since thyroid cancer is usually slow growing....Uggg

I am absolutely thrilled with the news of being first time Grandparent's. But I am also worried for Adrienne. I still encourage everyone to keep praying and I thank you all for your caring support. My emotions have been on a roller coaster ride of late. One minute I am in awe I am gonna be a grandparent for the first time, and the next second I am worried about Adrienne and the delay for her surgery.....Please keep her in your prayers and I will continue with updates...I pray her pregnancy goes well and they have a healthy baby, and also she will get well and be healthy....Thank's friend's,
