In another post you said you lived in Sunland? now it's Glendale? which one do you live in? I have lived in both cities, I went to school in Glendale, graduated from Hoover High School.

I also lived in Sunland and Tujunga. Where abouts do you live?

My DH graduated from Glendale High, of course it was way back in the dark ages, lol small world.:)

OH I know what I want to ask you, is Ming's Chinese Kitchen still in business on Foothill Blvd? I know it's been many years, but I remember when she use to carry the babies on her back in a sack type thing and keep right on working! I just loved her sweet and sour pork!!

Yes !! Mings is still there ! It's right next to where I work .
We have a tradition of going to Mings on New Years Eve !
Dont know how that started, but we do it ! yummmmmm !


what year did your DH graduate ? I have 3 older sisters
that went there ! Their grad years are '74, '80 and '81

Gosh, DH graduated in 1963, see I told you the dark ages. lol

Oh boy, Mings is still there, I'll bet her kids run the place with her now. She was such a sweet woman. Their menu is probably the same too, I think I use to order a number 5, a combination plate......Oh I wish I had some of her Sweet and Sour Pork right now!!
