I love the show too. Kate reminds me of my daughter Danielle. Danie bosses Matt (her hubby) around like Kate does Jon!! One exception, Danie and Matt only have 1 son who will be 3 on March 22nd!

I love Hannah, she's a little "mother hen." LOL!! For the boys, I really don't have a favorite I like all of them. Cara and Mady are so different from each other, they remind me of twins that used to live up the street from us. Amanda and Andrea were just like Cara and Mady when they were young.

I got the magazine and read it. it sounds like they are going to get a divorce and are just trying to cover it up since they still have a season to go. I don't know what to think. They don't seem to have a very good relationship as it is on the show, so you can only imagine what happens when cameras are not there. She seems very controlling over him and maybe he is over her acting like that. But then again, it could all be something to get more attention, maybe for the show.:confused::rolleyes:

Well according to "sources" Kate doesn't really care for the kids when the cameras are off. Jon and the helpers are the ones that do it. I don't know what they would do with the kids cause one parent COULD NOT take care of 8 kids and now 2 dogs. It would be interesting to see. But every couple has their bad times and maybe this is one of them, hopefully they can work it all out and fix their relationship for the kids.

Kate loves the light from the show. She made fun of Jon cause he said he can't stand not being known as just Jon and being known as "Jon and Kate plus 8" whenever he goes out. I don't think you should make fun of him, it is hard to have everyone constantly watching you and never getting any privacy.

Kate is very busy with her book, and while I think it is great she got to do that because it can help support the kids later in life, it is not fair she has been gone so much. Jon does so much with those kids and they seem to LOVE when he gets home from work. He has given up so much to take care of them and make them his life. Kate just seems like since she had to have them and carry them that she should get a break now. That isn't how it works. I think that both of them should give 100% 24/7 because those are your kids. I just hope those kids don't grow up thinking the wrong thing about relationships and marriage becasue they see their parents constantly fighting in front of them.

I think that the only way they will be able to save the marriage would be to stop the tv thing and concentrate on their relationship............they obviously drifted from being husband and wife and just focused on being parents...(then the tv thing started and it seems Kate enjoyed it a whole lot more than Jon).....I know when hubby and I first had our son.....we were so excited about being parents..........we forgot about being hubby and wife and drifted the first couple of years. One day we looked at one another and didn't know each other anymore. We worked hard at restoring our relationship and thank goodness, 25 years later we are still together. We celebrate our 30th this November.

I think they are over now! Last night was interesting and their body language told the whole story. Too bad for them and the kids! I think they will be the best they can for the kids. I think he really did cheat on her and they are done.

Did you notice that when Kate teared up.......she made the comment, "sorry, don't want to mess up my makeup".........how weird is that? Who cares about makeup if you are truly upset?

Anyhow, I don't think Jon cheated (sleeping w/someone else) but I imagine there was some emotional cheating going on BUT Kate prolly was doing the same w/her bodyguard.
It must be crazy for the entire family w/all the paparazzi........of course, that started as soon as JOn was seen w/the OTHER woman.........I think, that is what he regrets mostly..........that he wasn't thinking about the ramifications of his actions. They simply drifted apart..........there never was much affection shown between them on the show. I thought Kate treated Jon like a child most of the time. Did you know they get $75,000 per episode and Beth (the sister in law) isn't on show anymore because TLC wanted to pay her but Kate said NO!! Well, I saw that stuff on EXTRA.........don't know all the truth behind it.............they also said Kate fired 30 nannies in 3 months........the last one BECAUSE she washed her hands in the kitchen instead of the bathroom. :confused:

ya the episode was sad. hope they dont break up. i dont think either of them cheated on each other but they distanced themselves and started to hang around other people they probably shouldnt be hanging out with. i think if they need to they should probably quit the show and work on the family its not fair to the kids.

the kids matured a lot. and look older too. maddie seemed to have gotten nicer. i like how alexis kept calling her friend her buddy. she likes to call people her buddy a lot like aaden when he was sick she kept calling him her buddy. i think she has herself a little boyfriend lol. and the talk she had with jon aboutit was funny. was sad when she mentioned how much she didnt want jon to leave anymore.

i think kate needs to stop being so bossy and jon needs to stand up for himself a bit more. i just think they should work things out and not get a divorce unless its nessecary.

I don't know how to feel about the whole situation.
I think stardom has gotten to Kate's head and she has never treated Jon the way she he should be treated.
However I also think from what it looked like on the season premiere, it appears Jon isn't around much anymore. Just like one of the children said "Daddy, I don't want you to leave anymore". I feel like he loves the kids to death but like he has completely checked out. He is just too tired of all of it.
I enjoyed the show however I don't think it's right for the family anymore. I agree with an episode or two a year. An update on the children and what they have gone through in that year. I just don't think this show is right for the children anymore.
As for all of the rumors. I don't really believe anything unless there is proof. It is the job of the paparazzi to make things look worse than they are. Rumors are so out of control, I don't believe anything honestly. Whether it comes from a family member, or a co-worker. So people are just out to get their few minutes of fame.

On the Today show, Kate's brother and SIL commented that they feel the kids are being exploited now for $$$$. They also said they haven't seen the kids in a long time. Beth(SIL) stated that last year the kids told her they don't like the cameras on vacation and when they are crying,etc.
I think Kate has definitely got used to the $$$. I don't know about Jon.
Think it really started going downhill for him when he quit job and had to be home all the time. Sort of took away his identity as a man.
If they are really concerned about the kids, this should be their last season but it is such a cash cow for them and TLC........don't know.....problem is that everyone is tuning in now........even those that never watched the show because of all the controversy.

I do think Jon is there for the kids but tries to avoid Kate so he is more around when she is out promoting book........guess he still is in the house when she is home but has his own room above the garage. This can't be good for the kids. They need to really do what is best for the kids.

Sad state of affairs...........must be tough on the twins......being older and having to deal w/all the gossiping at their school.

ya have no clue how much of jon we will see maybe we will see jon more during the kate and maddie part of the show. wonder if that is when he had his "friends" over the house. the ace of cakes one didnt seem like jon was there at all. i would of loved to have gone to ace of cakes. they make some awesome cakes and stuff.

not sure how many were taped but think they are contracted for 48 more episodes. whether that is to tape them or air them i dont know.

Yep..........I believe they are going to announce separation and possibly a divorce. Really they are so apart emotionally now anyway......they seemed like a mismatch from the start but w/ all the babies coming........what could they do? Doubt their marriage would have gone this long if not for the kids and of course, the show. The ratings are very high because all the negative publicity has people watching now that never watched before. It is all so exploitive now and I feel bad cuz I watch the show and am part of the whole process.............:(

I wish they would stop the show but Kate is not going to give up that show when TLC has asked for 40 more episodes and even Jon must be enjoying the $$$$$.(look at his car and the cycle he had built!)
Heard he is looking at apartments in Trump tower in NYC........they are a pretty penny.

So sad that they aren't more geared toward trying to work stuff out BUT even over the last few seasons you could see them falling away from each other. Jon seemed tired of doing the show and Kate has continued to be gung ho.
Better for the kids to have two parents separate and happy then two parents together and miserable........... I assume they will try to work out joint custody but would not be surprised if Kate allows Jon to take over the majority of childcare.
I think Kate wants to be a superstar and unfortunately interacting w/her kids

LOL... I just had to say that I could have written your post! :D

I saw maybe ten minutes of this show once (on at a friends house we were picking up)... it did nothing for me nor did it pull me to want to watch it.

What I have noticed is that the magazines I get or read at the doctor's office (like OK, Star, and even People) dwell on them (everything from their million dollar home, to her supposed foul temperament, to his/her suspected infedelity, to child labor investigations, ect...). I just "gotta" say... let it go!

I hate the thought of children having their parents split but sadly that seems to be the norm in America where 1/2 marriages end in divorce. I guess in my opinion... if the parents really cared for the best interest of their family, and for their marriage, they would leave the spotlight immediately, use what has to be a substancial savings to survive until they find "real jobs", get regular 9-5 jobs, get counselling, stop taking trips by theirself, and raise their family out of the reality spotlight that they have put it into!

~On Tuesday, TLC halted production of the Gosselin’s reality show.

~”Kate Gosselin says in divorce papers that she and her husband Jon have lived “separate and apart” for at least two years.”

~Kate is, however, willing to “negotiate a fair and reasonable” settlement with her husband.

The shocking unraveling of ‘Jon & Kate Plus 8‘ stars Jon and Kate Gosselin just got a lot uglier.

A new report claims it was Jon himself who intentionally started rumors about his wife Kate having an affair with their bodyguard Steve Neild.

“Jon wanted a divorce and he also wanted to throw attention away from himself, so he spread that rumor,” a source tells Radaronline. “Jon doesn’t like Steve so he didn’t care about the repercussions.”


Jon Gosselin, in case you haven’t heard (ha!), was caught having a questionable relationship with a 23-year-old school teacher back in March.

When a competing affair allegation surfaced in May about Kate and the bodyguard, the mother of eight told People magazine: “The allegations they’re making about me are disgusting, unthinkable, unfathomable, and I am horrified.”

The ‘insider’ also confirms the story that, while Kate was the party to file for divorce on Monday, June 22nd, she did not want the divorce.

“She didn’t want to, and in fact, on the day the papers went in, Kate was with her attorney crying and sobbing. She was very, very upset,” the source added.

I guess Thursday night, Kate showed up at the house even though it was Jon's turn w/the kids. Jon did not let her in the gate and I guess they argued about his choice of a babysitter.(some 23 yr old gal from Hooters)
So Kate called 911 but the cops said it was a civil matter and asked Kate to leave. She checked into a Days Inn nearby......wow.........the poor kids having to deal w/this.
So Jon is going to host some pool party in Vegas and starting a clothing line called 'Hollywood Rebel'.
Now, it seems Kate is more family oriented and Jon is into fame.........talk about reversing the roles..........I thought Kate was such the fame monger.
Course, all we see is what the media shows us. Dunno really know who JON & KATE are. Kate has been going on all the talk shows and airing more dirty laundry.

i think kate had a right to be mad about jons babysitter choice. i wouldnt let someone like her watch my kids either, if i had kids. jon seems like he just wants to be 20 agian and not a parent. ateast kate is trying to make things good.

I have changed my attitude towards Kate.........think she is more tuned into what is good for the kids...........my question about Jon is WHY the heck is he having a babysitter when it is his time w/the kids??? And a 23 yr old Hooters girl???? makes you wonder!!

ya same here. kate has realized she had to change since her kids are important and she needs to loosen up a bit.

ya its his time but its still a lot of kids so both of them would need some help but agian dont they have people to help. like the nanys and the friends of the family? id have a hard time letting anyone near my kids if i had any even family so some random person i met at a bar or even just a random person at church or the store or what not id have a problem with.

Lots!! That he despises Kate because she isnt speaking from the heart. That he loves the new girlfriend more than he ever did Kate. Mostly trying to defend himself. I do think that Kate is an overbearing, and controling person to live, but it doesnt excuse his behavior. It's all just sad because of the kids. But, I also dont think that makes him a bad dad. I really dont know what to think of it all. Really makes me not want to watch the show at all now!:(

I heard this on our local news this afternoon. They are kicking Jon off the show because of his antics. November 2nd the show will be changed to Kate Plus 8.

I just heard on the news that Jon has halted the show because he no longer wants the kids to be on camera. So until he comes to an agreement with TLC there will be no more filming.
