Do your kids get tired of visiting national parks and just looking around? There is another awesome option!

National Parks with Junior Ranger Programs:
Many National Parks offer visitors the opportunity to join the National Park Service Family as Junior Rangers. Interested students complete a series of activities during their park visit, share their answers with a park ranger, and receive an official Junior Ranger badge or patch and Junior Ranger certificate.

Here is the link: http://www.nps.gov/learn/juniorranger.htm On this page is a list of participating parks.

Enjoy!

Junior Ranger Day! Just wanted to let y'all know that here in Colorado our national parks did a Jr. Ranger day. We went yesterday to one and spent from about 9:30A-3:30P, minus lunch, participating in really fun activities ranging from fossil "excavation" to survival skills to hikes to drawing. Our son received prizes ranging from pedometers to whistles to a compass, plus the Jr. Ranger badge and patch, for participating. This program is awesome so check it out if you have a national park near you, or if you are traveling near one! :)
