1. How to Enter: Online sweepstakes only. To enter, go to: www.boxtops4education.com/Promotions/tacos, click on “The Great Taco Giveaway Sweepstakes” link in the Box Tops Promotions section and complete the online sweepstakes entry form. Sweepstakes begins at 12:01 A.M. (central time) on August 11, 2008 and ends at 11:59 P.M. (central time) on September 21, 2008. Sweepstakes entry limited to one entry per person per day and no more than one entry per email address per day. Sponsor will not verify receipt of entries. Automated entries are prohibited, and any use of such automated devices or programs will cause disqualification. Sponsor and its advertising and promotion agencies are not responsible for lost, late, illegible, misdirected or stolen entries or transmissions, or problems of any kind whether mechanical, human or electronic. Sweepstakes entries are the property of Sponsor and will not be returned. Sweepstakes ends on September 21, 2008.
2. Eligibility: Only open to legal residents of the United States, 18 years of age or older who are members of Box Tops Online and have designated a school to support during the sweepstakes period. Void in Puerto Rico and where prohibited or restricted by law. Employees of Sponsor and its affiliates, its advertising and promotion agencies, its judging organization, and their immediate families in the same household are not eligible. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. This promotion is intended for viewing in the United States only and shall only be construed and evaluated according to United States law. You are not authorized to participate in the Sweepstakes if you are not located within and a legal resident of the United States.
3. Prizes:
Six (6) First Prizes: Each first prize is 5,000 Bonus Box Tops, which will be awarded to each of the six (6) Box Tops for Education participating schools designated by each of the six (6) winning first prize sweepstakes entrants. Each first prize winner will also personally receive free tacos for a year, consisting of 12 coupons (each for a free Old El Paso Taco kit) and a one-time check for One Hundred Seventy Five Dollars ($175) to purchase taco fixings. The retail value of each Bonus Box Tops first prize is Five Hundred Dollars ($500) to the first prize winner’s designated school and Two Hundred Dollars ($200) to the winner. Total combined retail value of each first prize is Seven Hundred Dollars ($700).
Six (6) Second Prizes: Each second prize is 1,000 Bonus Box Tops, which will be awarded to each of the six (6) Box Tops for Education participating schools designated by each of the six (6) second prize sweepstakes entrants. Each second prize winner will also personally receive free tacos for a year, consisting of 12 coupons (each for a free Old El Paso Taco kit) and a one-time check for One Hundred Seventy Five Dollars ($175) to purchase taco fixings. Retail value of each Bonus Box Tops second prize is One Hundred Dollars ($100) to the second prize winner’s designated school and Two Hundred Dollars ($200) to the winner. Total combined retail value of each second prize is Three Hundred Dollars ($300).
Six (6) Third Prizes: Each third prize is free tacos for a year, consisting of 12 coupons (each for a free Old El Paso Taco kit) and a one-time check for One Hundred Seventy Five Dollars ($175) to purchase taco fixings. Total retail value of each third prize is Two Hundred Dollars ($200).
Odds of winning a prize depend on the number of eligible entries received. Total value of all prizes is Seven Thousand, Two Hundred Dollars ($7,200), of which Three Thousand Six Hundred Dollars ($3,600) will be awarded to the Winner’s designated schools. Prizes of Bonus Box Tops awarded to designated schools cannot be transferred, substituted or redeemed for cash by any individual. Prizes awarded to winning sweepstakes entrants cannot be transferred or substituted except at Sponsor’s sole discretion. Any taxes are the responsibility of the winner. If eligible winner is deemed a minor in his/her state of residence, prize will be awarded in the name of the minors’ parent or legal guardian. Limit one prize per person and school.
4. Drawing and Awarding of Prizes:
Weekly Prizes: Three (3) prizes (one first, one second, and one third prize) will be awarded once a week from August 11, 2008 – September 21, 2008 from all eligible online entries received by 11:59 P.M. (central time) Sundays during the drawing period. Winners will be notified by e-mail. Non-winning eligible entries from each drawing will be entered in subsequent drawings. Drawings will be conducted by an independent judging organization whose decisions are final on all matters relating to this sweepstakes. Winning schools and submitters of winning sweepstakes entries will be posted on the Box Tops for Education website at www.boxtops4education.com/Promotions/tacos after each drawing period.
