Kim, it's good to hear that you're doing better. It does get better. Although I'm still fatigued, I'm so thankful to be alive to feel tired. I just saw my oncologist. For the past year, I've been seeing him every 4 months. The two years before that it was every 3 months. Of course, while I was going through chemo, it was once a month. Now, I've graduated to every 6 months. He said that way it wouldn't be such a shock when I go to once a year. :) You have some tough decisions to make. I wasn't in menopause before I started chemo either, but have been since chemo has ended.

You continue to be in my thoughts, Kim.

Thank you so much! I am like you, I am just happy to feel tired. LOL The oncologist told me that it would be 12 to 18 months before I started to feel more like myself without all the fatigue. Regardless....I will FIGHT, I would never give in to it! Hang in there Linda!

Thanks Mae! I could use them for sure! I had to have another surgery, was supposed to be there for 1 night. I am still in the hospital. I am miserable. My stomach is so swollen it looks like I am about to have a baby. Ugh! I sure hope this is the last of this! I am sick of it!

Thank you everyone for the thoughts, love and prayers that you are sending. I had to have a 2nd surgery. My colon was nicked during the hyst. That is the reason for the ICU and ICU step down unit. My cousin works here....she told me this AM that I have been here longer than anyone else at this point. I told her I didn't think that was a good thing. LOL I think she is just trying to get me in a better mood! I hate this place more than words can say right now, but it is getting better. I am just praying I will be able to eat. Then hopefully they will let me 'outta here. I would really like to be out of here before the 28th! (That would make it an entire month) My summer is flying by too quickly and wedding is coming too fast. October will be here before I feel up to shopping for a dress or something to wear. Please continue to say a prayer for me. Prayers work! Love to you all ~Kim

Thanks everyone, I am hanging in there. They are doing a calorie count on me. (Not good) I lost 2 lbs since yesterday. I can just hear the griping now. LOL I am just gonna pop it back at him. I feel good enough to just be P/O, so when he starts it....I will fire back. They want me to drink boost and ensure, and I just can't make myself do it. It has been at least 23 days since I had regular food. The way it was explained to me is that my palatte (sp?) is clean, well really clean since I also had thrush. Everything tastes 4 times as sweet and the salt....well that is on overload as well. I was able to handle a small cup of chicken noodle soup. There are just so many things they are trying to make me eat, and I just can do it. Please pray that I get the strength to start eating. They won't let me go home until I can. Did I say this place is driving me nuts? Thanks to you all! I appreciate you more than you know!
