I have an aunt who is in need of prayer, I just received an email form my mother that goes as follows
She had surgery last Wednesday for an A&P repair (bladder repair).
She is on a blood thinner for a heart valve replacement that she had a few years ago. She was doing well and was released to come home, but due to a set back with rectal bleeding she was readmitted to the hospital and her doctors are trying everything possible to get the bleeding stopped without further surgery.
Frances is in a lot of pain right now -- so please pray that they will be able to keep her comfortable and that the Lord will give her good rest.
She still has this tube that is draining blood from a possible abscess or hole; they are not really sure exactly what it is. One doctor says a hole, another doesn't see a hole.
Now they are saying they might have to do a colostomy so that whatever is bleeding can heal.
During the test on Friday, they supposedly cauterized a loose stitch or something. The doctor said it also could be a scab that came off.
She is on Heparin to thin her blood, but if they do a surgery, they will have to work with taking her off again.
She has had 2 pints of blood and 3 pints or units of plasma Thank You Terri

UPDATE: Results weren't very good on CT. The abcess is a bit larger than before. Not very incouraging BUT we are very well aware of God's healing power. Doctors came in one by one and after looking at the pictures were looking for other solutions. First they did pack her to try and push the fluid out of the pocket and into the drain! This will go on over the weekend and then checked again Monday. If there isn't any improvement tney will go into rectum and try and do a surgical procedure. This means she is off of her bloodthinner again as of tonight and will be back on hephrim... She still is in good spirits and reading. We are so thankful for all the prayers, blood doners, visitors and sitters. God will see us through all of this. I will have no update until Monday unless something does take place. Again thanks for all our friends!!!!!!!!!!
