Hope crawled into a hole in the wall of my furnace closet and hasn't come back out yet; I can hear her crying but she sounds down in the wall so I don't know if she's just being stubborn or if she's stuck. I put a can of tuna in the closet to try to encourage her but nothing so far....I've done all I can for tonight, I'll have to wait till the morning to check the downstairs apartment and to get ahold of my landlord...he's really gonna love this one:rolleyes:

Please pray for her to find her way out of this one.

Tell Hope I said to get her furry butt out of there! Cats do the darndest things , don't they?
Prayers that she finds her way out of there before you even wake up...

I am happy to say after tuna and catnip bribes, she came out early this morning and is no worse for wear except she could use a bath. Cats gotta love them.

Very relieved, I was up and down checking on her all night and finally got pro active around 7:00...took a flashlight and shined it into the hole and one of the other cats got into the closet and started eating the can of tuna and once she realized "hey, there's food" she was out in seconds...bribed all of them out of the closet with catnip. It was the first time the 4 month old kittens had the nip  I had to finally wrap one of the males up in the blanket with me just to keep him from falling out of the bed he was just soooo loopy from it.

So glad that Hope came out safe and sound! They do get stuck in the strangest places some times--the combination of curiosity, climbing ability, good night vision, and lithe bodies just let them go right into places that aren't always the best for them (or for us to rescue them!). Yup, sure gotta love them--couldn't imagine life without them (or the rest of the menagerie...) :)

I'm glad she's OK! Tell her not to do that anymore! At least it was only a day...not 5 or 6- like my cats! (Two of them are still at the office- since they don't know how to come out of their hiding places! But they are having a good time in the big kennel with kitty 'playland' set up in there ;))

:p
Cats do, do the darndest things! I hope your baby will be ok. I also wanted to let all of you cat lovers know that food containing RED 40 could lead to the death of your precious kitties! RED 40 is very lethal to cats. I lost my preciuos Moses to the lethal side effects of RED 40.

So glad that Hope decided to "investigate" the treats yoiu left out for her, and that she is safe. Yes, cats DO the darndest things and definitely have a mind of their own!

Hugs,
Mae
