I was watching the news yesterday and got thoroughly outraged at what is going on in Washington. When presented with the opportunity to open up the oil fields off of our coastline so we as country won't have to be dependent on foreign oil and have to pay 4 dollars plus a gallon at the pump, the democrats said no.Does that not make you mad,is that not outrageous,or am I the only one who feels that way.In my opinion the democrats are way out of touch about what the majority of Americans want.I believe they are pandering to a handful of left-wing elitist who really don't have a clue.Or maybe the democratic party don't have a clue, you really have to wonder what they are thinking.Obama is right there in with them on off shore drilling.People we need to question those in power and find out what their motives are and who might be pulling the strings to make the dems make such boneheaded decisions. If the democratic party is so out of touch with reality and what the American people really want, they need to be kicked to the curb and be replaced with people who will give the people what they want.

I just signed the petition, and my husband did as well. I am in complete agreement that we need to expand our drilling operations. To me, it is just ridiculous that Cuba is allowed to drill closer to our borders than we are! This isn't an overnight fix, but it is a step in the right direction to reducing our dependency on foreign oil.
