Wondering how many webtv users are out there and if they are getting as frustrated as I am of not being able to send for some of the samples. Right now I have tried to send for the Rhino1 sample and it is saying "They can't establish encrypted communications". I would love to get this sample. Just curious. Thanks

i am a webtv user. yes it is frustrating to jump through all the hoops on a sample site just to hit their "enter" button to get nowhere. i have given up on the "walmart" site all together. it's really hit & miss with webtv. what's even more frustrating is when i DO get to order something to find it on the "bad freebies list".

People still use WEBTV!? Just kidding! I'm sorry you guys have so much trouble. I have no idea about WEBTV since I've never used it.

I have Road Runner but my parents still use WebTV.
My mother has me order all her samples (usually I do it for both of us at the same time). She is so appreciative and thrilled to get the samples in the mail!
We gave my parents (used, cheaper, not the biggest memory...but internet capable) but my father refuses to get rid of the Web TV and they cannot afford to pay both that bill and internet both.
My father loves looking at ebay and antique radio/tv sites on the big screen TV (one of the huge, older, "big screens" dinosaurs)... he refuses to even sit at the PC and look at anything. We hooked them up (free internet trial offer) but he did not like the 15", or sitting at the desk... he likes sitting on the couch or chair and watching/surfing via the huge screen. I don't see him changing unless WebTV goes out.
Do any of you using WebTV have family/close friends that you could have sign up for the freebies for you? It works well for my mom and I! It is a bit time consuming at times... anything I search out/find/apply for I have to submit twice, however, it is worth the extra time as my mom is thrilled when her packages arrive! She calls so excitedly and thanks me profusely... I think the morning trip to the post office is the hilight of her day! :)

I sometimes think about getting a laptop or a computer but hate putting money into something that I just use for "foolishness". I wouldn't know how to pick one out anyway because I have had this thing for sooooooooo long. I do miss out on a lot of neat sounding samples though.
