I saw The Dark Knight today. Loved it! Heath blew me away with his performance. It was the body language, the nervous licking tic, all of the subtle nuances of a well-honed psychopath. He did it brilliantly. The Oscar win would be well-deserved.

We went to see this a few nights ago before DH had to go back to work. It was awesome! Normally, I'm not a big fan of this type of movie, but I can't wait to see this one again!

Providence! We were going to see it at the IMAX one in Opry Mills, but all the tickets were sold out on line until 1:30 am. We couldn't wait, but we are going to try and go see it in the IMAX next week :)

i just have to say that being a fan of dc comics and batman especially this movie really did the comics justice. heath's joker was simply amazing and everything i always imagined when reading the comics....its simply chilled me to the bone. not to mention that christian bale is the best batman ever...i was iffy after batman begins but the dark knight convnced me that bale has micheal keaton beaten....its a movie that i actually plan on seeing again and i NEVER go to the movies to see the same movie :D

Ok I saw Batman last night and it was okay.

I can not stand the way Christian Bale talked when he was dressed up as Batman. The best part of the movie was Heath Ledger. I think he did an amazing job!

I saw Batman at midnight the night of its release. I truly feel this is one of my new favorite movies. Heath Ledger was some of the best acting I have seen in a long time.

Wow!
After reading these reviews, I guess I'll be going to the movies. It's something I rarely do, because I'm usually so behind on seeing them that they are still new to me 2 years later. Then I can rent it for much less and pause it when I feel like it.(I have a hard time sitting still for that long)

We're a fairly small town, but the Movie Theater is always cram packed because of all the young marines. Tickets here are $9.25. What are they like out there?

I do go on base occasionally, where I can buy the tickets at a military discount and only pay $6. Then I stop at the Walgreens right across to get the "movie" candy for $1 a box. I still pay the ridiculous price for the movie popcorn. Guess I sound like a cheapskate, but the movies are expensive!! How in the hell do kids nowadays afford to go on dates to the movies??

Anyway, off my soapbox, I'm gonna go see it;)

I think the movies are about 8.50 here. We went and saw Wall-e Last night and it was over $30 because my boyfriend had to have popcorn. 4.75 for a bag.
I highly suggest the drive in if there's one in your area. it's 8.00 a person here....
my boyfriend has a pick-up truck with a carpet lining in the back, so we were very comfy. :D

Wow the drive-in here is $9.00 for a car load. And that is for as many people you can fit in your car ore truck.

It is an hour away though so it works out cheaper for us to drive 10 minutes to the theater.

For just a regular movie, it's $9.00 a person here. And when I bought some Kit-Kats, it was $4.00  Why is the movies so expensive?!?!?

Agreed. I have a slight hearing loss, and that Clint Eastwood whisper made it hard for me to understand what he was saying.

I know I've probably mentioned it before, but we are lucky here. We can see first-run movies for $2.75 a ticket. We also have a $1 movie theater for those times we don't mind waiting a couple of months. I never buy anything at the concession stand. We either go out to lunch before, or I bring stuff from home. My son and I can have lunch at Fuddrucker's for $8 and some change. We'd spend more than that if we bought stuff at the concession stand.
