Hey everyone.... FYI, beware of auto parts giant, we placed and order for a power steering hose on July 12. This was Saturday, it does not say on their website that they only take phone orders on Saturdays. Otherwise it will not go into their system until Monday to be processed. According to the representative it takes 3 days to process in their system. To me this seems like a long time, given today's technology. I called the following Monday the 14th, to verify it had been processed. They said it had and it should ship out on Tuesday the 15th. When I called on Wednesday to see if it had shipped (their website did say that sometimes it did not show shipped and that it may have shipped already) the rep said I don't know who you talked to but they should not have told you that. When I called back on Friday, I spoke with Lewis and he could not give tracking #. He said that it did not show, that it comes from other warehouses and they did not have access to that information. Called back on Monday and talked with Art ext. 206, he said he could request a trackin # and it could be emailed to me. I did receive an email that only stated "order shipped" this was on July 21 but no tracking # was attached to it. It is ironic that I got that after I called once again to request tracking #. I asked to speak to a supervisor, they said they were understaffed. I was disconnected. I tried to call yesterday, July 22 it went to the prompt and was put on a terminal hold. They never picked up. Here it is Wednesday, July 23......and after waiting 15 minutes at least, they finally picked up. I spoke with Art yet again, he said it was shipped and I have a tracking # for you. He gave me the tracking #. He said it had a rescheduled delivery day. He said it was because it got held up in the warehouse at UPS. (That could be true....But with all the UN truths it makes me wonder) He got upset when I said that it was about a week later than what the website implied. And said when you count it out, it is the correct # of days. Oh....by the way, it will not deliver until Monday, July 28th. 16 Days later. I will never order from this company again.....and I am praying that it is the right part. If I would have known this, I would have went to the dealer and had it in 2 days. We have an extra vehicle that I have been driving. But it has cost me more in gas than I have saved by ordering from this fly by night company. Not a real good feeling when I checked the internet for complaints on this company. One site said the chamber of commerce rated them an "F", which is the lowest you can get according to that poster. :eek:
