These are not the times to have such a costly addiction! It is so much easier and tastier to make your own iced coffee at home. It's not complicated at all.

You will need:
1 pouch coffee (my favorite is Dunkin Donuts French Vanilla)
1 carton creamer (I use the fat free kind, tastes the same..)
Sugar (or Splenda)

Optional:
Cool Whip canned whip cream
Chocolate/Caramel syrup
Bottled liquid flavoring syrups (Kroger has them here, and so does World Market)

1. Brew coffee as usual
2. When coffee is done brewing, add 1 tbs of sugar for each cup coffee to the pot, and stir together.
3. Turn off the burner, and let the coffee pot sit for awhile to cool down.
4. Store in fridge overnight.
5. The next day, get a cup and fill with desired amount of ice.
6. You can find a mixture of cream and coffee that suits you best, I usually pour 1/3 cream and 2/3 coffee.
7. OPTIONAL: Pour in some flavored syrup to enhance the taste. Top with Cool Whip and drizzle with syrup! Now you have your own gourmet iced latte and you don't have to go to Starbucks anymore! :D

We do this at home also, try it with espresso! Here's our favorite:

hot, fresh espresso (or hot strong brewed coffee)(decaf works too)
sweetened condensed milk (can use fat free sweetened cond. milk)
ice

Put a couple of tablespoons of sweetened condensed milk into a large mug. Mix the hot espresso into the milk, add a little ice to temper it. Pour over ice in a tall glass. Enjoy! This is great with spicy foods, and very refreshing on it's own.

LOL There is an advantage of having a best friend that manages a Starbucks! She makes these all the time for me!:D

Ooh! I almost forgot to tell you my favorite! Nice scoop of ice cream (I've only tried this with chocolate & vanilla) drizzled with fresh hot espresso....

I really need to try this! I am a Starbucks junkie. When there is not a Starbucks close by, I settle for McDonalds. During Lent (I'm Catholic) I was challenged by my class of first graders to give up my coffee habit. I lost 10 pounds, saved well over $100, and just about murdered my entire family! When Lent was over, I was only going about twice a week but I am now back to my daily habit.

oh my! well this recipe def won't help you, once you taste how good it is and how easy and convenient to make. i'm drinking "caramel drizzle" folgers gourmet coffee right now.. it's soooooo good!

p.s. i tried mcdonalds but it didn't do anything for me! it was so crappy and actually made me and my friend feel drained, instead of giving us that extra kick. weird..
