Does anyone watch this show?
I think it is on A&E. The show follows people who have an addiction and they film a one hour documentary. At the end all the addicts friends and family members come in for the intervention.
It is just an amazing show with so many success stories.

I have seen this show several times. It amazes me how people can get so addicted to something like that. But that's just how it is. This show makes me cry sometimes b/c the people go through so much to overcome there addiction. But it is cool how most of the addicts come out of there addictions for good!

yeah i used to watch this back when i had cable...it's actually quite good and i have to say the most realistic depiction of addiction on tv that i have ever seen...it will just rip your heart out, especially if you've ever dealt with addiction in some way, shape or form...good show, thumbs up...

I agree with you 200 percent! I have alot of addicts/recovering addicts in my family.. This show hits close to home for me and that's why most of the time I cry during every episode because I can feel the family and the addicts pain!

it is one of those things that when you've been through it you just know the pain...my mom and i used to watch this together and we would just hug each other and cry...she watched me struggle with addiction for 10 years and i know now the pain that she went through every day of those years...i couldn't see it then but i know now...what a blessing she is!

It was very sad, but he was in complete denial. He was sooo good-looking back in the day and he looked horrible right before his death.:(

This is my favorite show. I love the success stories, but the ones where they don't get help make me sad. I have seen 55 out of ~60 shows thanks to internet tv!

This is one of the most realistic shows on television. Having been an addict on many different levels in my life, I can tell you from personal experience that there are success stories. Not everyone will need an intervention to get help. Not everyone will need a treatment center, or therapist, or group. All of these are good if they help. But there is something all addicts do need and that is patience, forgiveness, and hope for a better future. A supportive family or someone special will be of great help. The addict may hate you if you intervene but that is a small price to pay for giving someone thier life back. It will be a tough road ahead for the loved ones and the addict, but it is possible.
Only for the grace of God I go...........

Ok so this one came on a few weeks ago but I saw it again the other night. This kid had diabeties and abused his meds and didn't watch his sugar and all that. At some points it was so high his meter coulnd't read it (and the meter goes up to 600!!!). Well his mother had MS and he was making her worse and worse. When I saw this I was so mad and upset for that mother. She did everything for him and he was making her MS worse. I just couldn't stop crying during this one. It made me realize how lucky I am that my mom has figured out to handle her stress so her MS doesn't get worse. I just thought about how that could be my mom (not with the son and his problems, but so miserable and in pain from the MS). I am so thankful every day that she is still around and as healthy as she can be right now. I just couldn't believe a son could do that to his mother.:( Also is showed Seth what the disease can do and understand a little more what my mom is going through on a day to day basis.
