The other day I was watching something.( I still can't remember what was ! its that crs syndrome) Anyway I saw a clip on this site called The grocery game. It looks really interesting. It does cost to be a member but I am going to do the trial membership for $1. This lady saves hundreds on her grocerys.
Heres the link Please remember this web site is NOT free just worth at least looking at to see if it can help you out on the monthly food budget!!

It seems to really load the pages slow. what she done on t.v. was amazing and I was very surprised to see our local store was available.I think the jist of how it works is she tracks coupons coming in the paper or online with store ads ( current and up coming) and lets you know when the cheapest time of the month is to buy each item. she bought over $200 for almost nothing and made the whole process seem simple.
I hope the site doesn't always run so slow.Maybe its me. How is it working for everyone else?

I use this website religiously! Even if you do not subscribe to it, you get lots of great samples, online shopping hot tips! I have gotten a lot of great deals from just reading the website. As far as the lists go, I think all that info is easy to figure out for free just by looking on some of the other sites that are similar...and they are free! But the lists are really cheap and easy to use!

Thanks for the positive comments. I have been doing the coupon thing now for about 3 months.I really do see a savings at the register if I plan my trip.I'm hoping to pick up some pointers from this site!

I enjoy coupons too.. I subscribe to the sunday paper just for them. They are good with the items you would usually buy and the ones new to try!
Also if you have a stop and shop near you they have a "top banana" program when you get their savings card which sends coupons and samples on occasion :)

That does seem like a worthwhile service. I understand that sales (the rock-bottom sale prices, not the minor discounts) run in 12-week cycles, and I've never been able to quite get the knack. Unfortunately, it does not look like Peapod is included as a "store" on their site, and that's where I buy all my groceries. :(

I have been using coupons for years, they have saved me alot of money on things I use anyways, this last week I saved almost $59.00 using coupons, they not only doubled my coupons (Vons) which they must of just started to do again, they sent me a coupon for $10.00 off on $50.00, so it did add up fast, I could not beleive that my grocery bill was only $63.54, I look at the sunday coupons and my friend saves me her coupons too so I have doubles and sometimes triple coupons to use when I go shopping.:)

Well you put in your zip code to see what stores participate in your area.
I have 4 stores in my area, but I only signed up for 2. It is $10 your first store and $5 each after that. It is really not a bad deal since you are billed every 4 weeks and so far the savings I have seen are phenomenal.

Well I just started using it, but I have heard fab things from my friends. I just really never wanted to sit down and follow through with it.
You can cancel at anytime, the site is easy to navigate, and there are tons of coupons to print out.
The owner of the website explains everything and they even have online help.;)

I ended up leaving the site after my trial period was over. The site requires too much time and things were hard to understand. The coupons were great though, but not worth the fee. I think you could do the same tracking on your own and save the money. I do that now with the grocery ads and still save a lot.;)

I did the same thing! Yeah, I felt I was better off doing it myself. Plus, I'm free! HAHA! :p

I personally did not like the site either. Very hard to understand and too much time. I do most of this myself on a weekly basis anyway and it doesn't take me very long. The only store that is in my area is Walmart, and the site did not show any sales at Walmart, but just compared to other stores and did the price matching thing. I do this myself anyway and it doesn't take long.
Terri (the owner) said on The Morning Show, or it might have been the news that you have to change your brands and adapt and stock pile. Why would I stock pile stuff I do not normally use???? It makes absolutely no sense to me.
Also, I emailed customer service about Walmart and how it doesn't show sale prices, and they said they were stopping my billing and allowing me to use the site for free. They told me all of the benefits and how they save time, blah blah blah. Well, at the end of my trial they charged me $10. I had to argue with them and almost didn't get a refund. They were refusing it the first four emails that I sent to them trying to explain. Finally they said they would give it to me. Now, I need to keep an eye on my bank account to be sure they actually credit me for it. Oh and they don't have a customer service phone number, so you have to do everything through email. Absolutely CRAP!!!

I just read alot about this, and am thinking of joining. Does it really help? If you are a member please let me know if you think that it is worth the money. I know it is not that much to join, so I don't know why it wouldn't be worth the money. Really as long as it helps you save $10, it pays for itself. It just sounds really complicated to work and I don't want to spend hours trying to use it. Thanks

It is very time consuming and it is easier to get the ads yourself and go through them. The information is confusing on the site and I saved just as much doing things myself. I actually saved more.

I just went to the website and read all about it. I'm ADHD so I have trouble keeping up with things, and with organization, so this might be helpful. People seem to either really like it or really think it's a waste of time. I hope folks will continue to post their responses and whether it was effective for them.
