Hi, well I am glad I founed this site. As I said, I am from Illinois, I am married and have a 14 year old daughter. I am visually impaired and if I happen to post in the wrong catagory I am very sorry. I have a question and will post it here and will also post it somewhere on the fourm. I am wondering about some of the free stuff when you have to give out your ssn. I have been told to never give it out especially on-line. Do any of you do this? I don't think I will. No free Ipod is worth the dangers if someone gets a hold of my ssn. All it takes is one unlikely person to get your ssn and mess up your life. Let me know what you think.

There are VERY few samples that require your ssn, if they need it it's for age verfication and things like that. I wouldn't give it out if you aren't sure of the company. As far as the ipods and things like that, they are spam! We try to catch them and get them deleted ASAP!

Hi Colleen, welcome to the forum! To answer your question about SS #, we do not have any posts that ask for your SS number. We have one post for a free beach towel that is from a cigarette company and they ask for the last 4 numbers of your SS number, from that they cannot get your entire number! So if you ever see any post that asks for SS, let us know. Have fun and get started, we have so many samples your going to need a lot of time! Hope you have Roboform to fill in the forms.

Hi Colleen, I am also in Illinois. Welcome to the forum. I never give out my SS# for a sample. It's not worth the chance. I am even reluctant to give out my phone # for one. I will occasionally use my phone #, if I feel it is worth it. Sometimes I can just put N/A in that spot. I will use my phone # when entering a sweepstakes though. I hope you have alot of fun here, there is lots of samples, sweepstakes, and socializing to be had :) .

Colleen, NEVER give out your SSN! Never ever! I only give it when I absolutely have to, like when we get our taxes done, stuff like that. I refuse to even let my kids' school have their SSN! Why do they need it?
