Tryer Miles Question

I have been with SS for a few years and have been trying hard to earn these Tryer Mile points so I could get free things. I love doing the scrambles and the product slogan contests so I can earn points. I have not been able to get anything because the 2 items listed have not been available for many months. :confused:
I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem. :mad: I wrote an e-mail and they told me I had to keep checking. Does anyone have any info they can offer.

I've read other complaints about that too in this forum. I personally think it is a waste since long ago I used to check and they always were "out" of them. Plus, the freebies they gave out sounded cheap to me. It's too much effort just to get a few points and a cheap gift. So now i gave up on that and also entering the contests. I only stick to the free samples WHEN they have new ones and now I also come and check out the forums. :D

Yeah, it's a complete disaster. I've been a member since 2000, and I have NEVER gotten ANYthing with my "miles" because there's NEVER anything. It's a joke that they even SAY they have "prizes." Especially since the prizes are lame things like staplers, and they can't even keep enough of those around. Are people really rushing to get mini staplers??!?! I guess if ANYTHING were ever available, I'd rush to get it too, so I suppose it makes sense. I can't believe how long this has been going on. It's pathetic.

I've been a member since 2001, and the "prizes" have gone way downhill. When I first joined, they actually had a DVD player available for 10,000 points. That's what I was saving up for. I had well over 9,000 points when they changed everything. I've actually gotten 2 or 3 of the magnetic clips that they offer now, but one of them came completely scratched up and broke not too long after I received it. I don't ever even bother to look to see if any prizes are available anymore because they are so crappy. Maybe they are planning something better for the future??? :rolleyes:

right now I have around 12,000. I have never used them because : #1 the prizes are usually gone. #2 The gifts (now that I have enough points) aren't worth wasting my points on.

However I faithfully come here daily to get my points and a free sample if they have it.I don't really do the contest just once in awhile. I spend more time here since the forum opened because there are always samples and different sites to check out.


I think they should at least offer like gift cards for gas,restaurants walmarts especially since they have some connection with the walmart samples it would be nice if they offered gift cards we could spend our points on.

That may not be the answer but it is a suggestion to ss I always wondered if anyone else felt this way. I see a lot of us have collected points for nothing!

But still we keep coming back! :)

I've been a member for a long while as well. And no, I have not yet been able to get any of the prizes. I'd have happily ordered a coffee mug, mouse pad, stapler, note pad...but like Carly's Mommy initially I was saving up...

I still look from time to time, but I am running out of hope.

I think we need to start hearing from those who have received rewards for there points. I know there have been some that received a tin of mints or candy whatever it was the comments haven't been very good. I also remember when they offered a dvd player.I remember thinking I would never accumulate enough points and when I finally did of course they no longer offered that.

So please lets here from the people who did use their points and what did you get? :)

I know how you feel. I really wanted that dvd player we didn't have one yet.
I don't look at the prizes anymore either.

I've been a member for several years. In all this time, I have only been able to earn two crappy gifts. I have gotten a paper (not the metal kind) stapler and a magnetic clip. Both are still operational but when I think of all the time spent on the site, they weren't worth the effort. I could buy both in a dollar store. I wrote management about the problem. I also mentioned that they needed to get more free samples.

I actually got a response. They told me that it was very difficult getting free samples and that they are doing the best that they can. As for the gifts, they say that people do claim them (but how many are there of them) and that I have to keep trying. I no longer visit every day as I used to because of this.

I've been a member since 2000 and have never been able to get a prize either. When I check in, they are always gone (red dot). I've basically given up. I have over 9,000 points that I have never been able to redeem. I've pretty much given up on the samples, although occasionally I am still able to get a good one. I come now to check out the helpful hints, recipes, and this forum.

I have also been a member since early 2000 - I have gotten a couple of things - they use to have a coffee travel mug I got 2 of those and those mints were horrible. I didn't get the stapler heard it was really cheapy. I must have 10 of those chip clips - or that is what I use them for but they are NOT worth 5000 points. And I was also saving early on for a DVD player.

I have been coming to Start Sampling for a long time and I was just about to stop visiting. There are never any samples and the gifts are pathetic, but now I come just to visit the Forum. Very interesting. Without it I'm outta here. What happened?

I too have been a member for a while but have never gotten any of the"prizes"cause they are always gone.I used to visit SS every day but not anymore cause they dont have very good samples.It really has gone down hill.

I remember back in 2002 I spent something like 500 points for a tiny tin of mints. It turned out to be one of those tiny tins with the "Start Sampling" logo on it, that would be used for promotional purposes.
