So everyone has stress, and some of us just can't seem to get away from it. I wanted to know how everyone handles their stress and how they help themselves relax. I have tried so many different things, and I have finally found the right things for me. Hopefully this will help some people learn how to manage their stress in a positive way.

When I am super stressed I will do one of the following: Listen to music really loud, read a book that is positive, call a friend that always has positive things to say, go have A drink, go for a ride, take my dog to the park, and most of all let things go, there is no reason to hold onto things that upset or anger you. Let it go, you don't have to forgive and forget, but just remember that people do things for many reasons and you have to figure out what those reasons are and move on. If they are negative then let them go, if it is someone that was really close and a great friend, give it time and then work it out.

How about you ladies?!

I could def use a drink today.
Most of the time a nice bubble bath with an ameretta sour.... and candles..and music... and no one else around.
No people in the house, no dogs barking, no phones ringing. Just me relaxing...
Man that sounds nice.... I think I might leave work early...lol.... now for a bathtub away from all the distractions...

When I get stressed, I take a deep breath and ask myself is it really worth stressing over? Almost always, it is never worth it! I usually just go somewhere to be alone in the quiet/peacefulness, I read, light some candles, I go for a walk, take a bubble bath, and most of all I PRAY! And keep my faith in God, that I know he will bring me through whatever it is that is going on. These are all things I have been doing lately.

Here lately I have just said *$#(* it! Stress is all what you make it. There are somethings that are out of my control, then I just take a step back and ask myself if there is anything I can do to make it better. If the answer is yes, then I do what I can. Then my Dh and I go for drinks or a walk or just talk until I feel better. But there are always going to be people in life that tires to make it hard for you. I have realized that you can do nothing to make that better except to just cut those things out and move on with your day. No matter how hard you try you are never going to make everyone happy. The most important things in life to me is my Husband and my family, so as long as we are happy and healthy I am good to go!:)
So I just LET IT GO!

How do I handle stress? Well I guess I'd have to say I keep smiling and laugh alot!! In the last 24 hrs everything that could go wrong did! LOL starting with the gear shift in my van breaking off to the house a/c going on the fritz. With several events happening in between. My DH had to pick me up after work & we had a few things to do but it seemed like every 10-15 minutes he'd say oh yeah and then this happened....I kept thinking I just want to go home to my hot house. which on the bright side right after we got home like 10 minutes later a fix it van pulled in.Thanks goodness we were at home and the a/c is up and running!! :)

So long story short I'd have to say just keep smiling and laugh alot if not you could go crazy! :)

I listen to my favorite music, go for a drive, or take a nap. I handle stress better when people leave me alone and let me do my own thing.

I handle my stress by being left alone and go for a very long walk,so I can sort things out in my head and then I am ready to tackle the problem head on;)
But most of all I become very SILENT

I came home last week to water all over the kitchen floor from a refrigerator that quit. So I ran out real quick and shelled out $650.00 for a new one. The next night the coffee maker quit. Luckily, I had an extra on hand. After working in a 100 degree factory for 8 hours each day, I sure didn't need all this. Believe it or not, I relieve my stress by getting on this site. It's like stepping into a new world, and my world is gone for a little while.

Oh no! Seems like everyone keeps having things coming up in the same day. I am glad to hear that you took care of everything and your not stressed. People on this site are amazing. You can always find people to help you and talk with you about things. I am always here if you need to vent or just talk, so pm me if you need too! Glad to hear your not stressed. Just think, now your food will stay nice and fresh with a new fridge!!;)

I need this too to help me de-stress. If I am having a breakdown or am really stressed I just need time to myself so I can get everything sorted out myself and with myself before I start worrying about what others will say and do. Sometimes people just don't understand this, but it is how we deal with things. Thankfully my close friends know that when I need my time not to get upset that I don't talk to them. Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend!!

It sure helps when people around us know that it is just how we are and do not take silence as a "bad"thing...I just like silence and room to declutter my mind on my own terms, not how others feel it should be handled..

Our weekend has been pleasant;) hope everyone else's has been as well

I'm the same way, when it comes to wanting to be left alone when I'm stressed out or mad. I can't stand for someone to keep bugging me when I just want to be left alone. It makes me more annoyed, lol!! I get really quiet when I'm upset about something anyways, so it's best to just let me be!

Sticking your head in the water and screaming is a good idea too! That way your neighbors don't think you got murdered!:p

the best way i handle stress of everyday life is to go for a walk or drive. it always manages to clear my head and helps me to escape from it all.

Three words: meditation, meditation, meditation!!!

I tell my family I'm plugging in (IPod). They know NOT to pull me out when I'm under.

I have masive stressors in my life that I didn't create and I have no control over. I had to find a way of dealing with it all because it just isn't going to go away. It took me a loooonnnggg time to get the pranic breathing down and shut off the "mind noise", but it is a godsend for me. I will even spend my lunch hour meditating out a couple of chakras if my job gets too overwhelming. It resets me just enough to go back and finish the day so I can go home and do a fuller set of meditiations to undo the stress.

Plus, after being on blood pressure meds for 15 years, I no no longer need them because I am able to keep it down naturally-even with the daily anxiety!

The other positive thing that has helped me tremendously is reading "The Four Agreements". I have posted a link to this in the book section. I have passed this book on to my close friends and it has helped them all as well. The link is a video created around the book. The last two minutes are the most important as it tells you what the agreements are. Very simple, very powerful, and sometimes very difficult to achieve. I strongly urge everyone to read it at least once. I also have it downloaded to my IPod and listen to it in the car when I'm driving.
