I thought HEY LET'S HAVE A JEWELRY SWAP!!!!

It can be earrings, bracelet, necklace, etc. but let's spend between $10-$15! Or if $20 is okay with you then go for it. Please do not go over that amount. I want everyone in here to get a fair gift.

Be creative with what you send and make it unusual. You can even send something that is unique to the area you live in. Santa Fe is known for turquoise jewelry so maybe that is what I will send!:D

Ya it didn't come in yesterday. I thought it did at first but it was the coupon train.

I don't want to be mean, but this is the 2nd time it has taken me almost a month to get my stuff from a swap. I am about to start a thread for people who do the swaps so we can put on there who took too long to get their stuff out and who didn't send anything at all. I put on my swap that they needed to get their stuff out within about a week to 10 days, and well that didn't happen. I love doing these swaps, but it just isn't fair that I get my stuff out 2 days after I get the name and yet I still don't have anything.

If you want to do a swap then atleast be kind enough to be as excited as everyone else and on time. I understand that people have things come up, but it really doesn't take much time to drop something off at the post office or atleast PM the person and let them know you have things going on. That would be rather respectful and nice!

I agree with you, It took me about 45 at the most to shop for my jewelery (I got other stuff too), 5 minutes to package and stamp my envelope, and 5 seconds to toss it in my mail box. Everyone IS busy, theres no doubt about that, but it's a quick thing to do. :rolleyes:

That way we know how everyone is doing and if they got stiffed in the last swap. I think it is only fair for us to post these people's names since they caused someone else anger or sadness in a swap. You know Carol I agree. I am fully aware of who is not following through and I anticipate they will not sign up for anymore swaps. If they do decide to sign up for swaps then I will talk with them about participation. I am just really trying to make this whole ordeal as nice as possible without causing problems. I also think it should be up to the person starting the swap to make sure that people are following through and that is part of the responsibility of being in charge. I just think that this feedback thread would start a whole new set of problems for this forum. And seriously guys I hate people not following through and I will take care of it.

I've had 4 people PM me and say they want to help out the people that did not receive anything. I REALLY appreciate that. I am really giving the people who signed up and who have not sent anything a chance.....One of them had a death in the family and I am sure she is overwhelmed right now BUT communication is the key to keep all of this running smoothly.

As Carol said---I would not do it. I am thinking at this point it is going to be up to the person who starts the swap to make sure EVERYONE follows through. I take responsibility for my swaps and I will make sure everyone gets a gift. I also know that some people are not good with following through and they will ot participate in ANY future swaps that I have.

I think that thread would cause so many problems for the mods and I do not want them to deal with it. I also think we need to be VERY careful on how we handle anything. I want to continue the swaps on this board and I do not want to risk admin staying we cannot do it anymore.

And before ANY of you criticize me for ANYTHING---Let me give you the info on the situation. I sent out the names for the swap on July 7th--ALMOST A MONTH AGO! I have sent numerous PM's to mrscar with no response and I know for a fact several other people have PM'ed her with no response. She has not been active since the 19th. The RESPONSIBLE thing to do in a swap is get your stuff out in a timely manner. Mrscar had her gift (and her daughter as well) for a few weeks. She never even logged on to say thank you.

I am just frustrated by the whole situation and I know many of you are as well.

I checked it today and it says it left the Nashville post office yesterday (which means I should get it today or tomorrow depending on how fast my local post office gets it out)!!!! I am SO excited. I put in a lot of time in these swaps and I ALWAYS make sure people get a gift. I really cannot understand why you would be worried. It only really takes a few people to do a swap. The less people the less problems we run into.

I feel the same way, Brandy! I sent her a PM just to make sure her daughter's jewelry had arrived safely. (Keep in mind that her daughter had mine) And she didn't even respond to mine either. It's okay though, it is better to give than receive. I would have liked to know that she received it and at least a thank you. :(
