Please, Please send prayers for my SIL. She was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer about two months ago. Completed her chemo and radiation last week and had scans to see the progress. Well today her results came back and now they think that it has spread to her bones. I can't believe this is happening to her. She is only 56 years old. My brother is devistated. I don't even know what to say to him, It is so scary.

May God be withyou and your family during this hard time , my mother died from Lung Cancer 6 years ago, No one knew she was sick.... she hid it until 3 days before passing - there was no time to let her know how much she meant to us or torecall all the great memories that you will find your self thinking of.

Prayer for the Sick

Merciful God, we remember before you all who are sick this day. Give them courage to live with their disease. Help them to face and overcome their fears. Be with them when they are alone or rejected. Comfort them when they are discouraged. And touch them with your healing Spirit that they may find and possess eternal life, now and forever. Amen.

I Lit a candle for your sister in law, you and your family while reciting this prayer. May God be with you in your time of need.

Thank you all so much. I appreciate your prayers and friendship more than you can imagine. She is going for further testing on Thursday. Hopefully, it will be some stupid thing and she'll be ok. She has gone through so much already, why more?

Oh, Mary Ann! I'm so sorry! I think the only thing you can say to your brother is "I love you." Nothing else seems to be adequate or express the things you are feeling. I'll keep you all in my prayers, Sis. HUGS!!

Mary Ann, I am so sorry to hear this. It seems that lung cancer is so prevelant now. My BIL (sister' husband), SIL (BH sister) and a dear friend were all diagnosed with lung cancer two years ago. The only thing you can do is pray and assure your brother that you are there for him and your SIL whatever they need. We will continue to remember them in our prayers.

You are too funny. Bacon Breath!!!! Well.....the news wasn't good.....it was GREAT!!! Turns out, the spot on her bone was arthritis. I have never been so happy with a diagnosis in my life. She still needs to see the radiologist again. They are talking about radiating her brain. It turns out that her type of cancer tends to spread to to the brain. How scary is that??? So the recommendation is mild radiation as a precaution.
Once again thank you all. Please keep those prayers coming, because you know what...They Work!!!

That is GREAT news!! Yay!!! Tell her to definitely follow up with the radiation! Back when my mom had breast cancer, they removed one, and at the time it wasn't usual to follow up with preventative radiation. A few years later she ended up with liver cancer. :( So, knit pick if need be, but see that she does the treatment. ;)

I know that she'll do whatever the doctors recommend. Her daughter, is an oncology nurse and makes sure she's on the straight and narrow. Thank you all once again for your thoughts, prayers and good wishes.
On the brighter side...our daughter is scheduled to deliver our first granddaughter on Thursday, 6/26. We are sooo excited. We have two wonderful grandsons, and now a little girl!! We are so looking forward to this.

My SIL is in the hospital again. This is not looking good at all. They are trying some chemo again but no promises. If she gets through this the best scenario is a few months. If not, her life is ending now.
Please pray for my brother and his family. We are in a horrible situation.

Hi Everyone- Just wanted to thank you all for your thoughts, prayers and well wishes. You guys are a great bunch! The funeral and burial were today. It was very emotional and sad. I know that my brother and his children will be ok, but I still pray for them. He has so many friends and co-workers supporting him, along with the family, I know he'll be ok. Last night a the funeral home, there were so many people, they had to actually wait in line through to lobby all the way to the front door. I have never seen that many people come to pay their respects. It was good for my brother because it took his mind off of everything for awhile.
Once again, thanks everyone. I love you all!
