everyone knows they make a spray to keep bugs off of you. Well, does anyone have any ideas what will keep fleas off of humans? We cannot get rid of fleas in our house. We sprayed everything you can think of. Does any one know of anything you can use on yourself? Please help:eek:

Yes, put a pie plate on the carpet, fill it with about an inch of beer and they, meaning the fleas will hop into the pan and drown....it does work, I am lucky where we live there are no fleas the altitude it too high for them!! I have a very happy dog...

my mother has lots of cats and now 2 dogs and has loads of fleas!! I know she has bombed her house in the summer and then used OFF! on herself. I think it seemed to work. You have to get rid of the fleas in the house in order to get rid of them on you.

First of all, you have to get rid of the fleas in your house. Treat ALL animals that have access to inside. During the same time frame, treat ALL carpet and ANYTHING that has cushion for the fleas to hide/breed. All bedding should be washed in HOT water (bleach if possible) all couches chairs with any fabric etc...We live in the country where fleas are EVERYWHERE!!! The best spray that I have found for inside is Ortho Max for the inside. I would also recomend spraying your yard with Malathion (sp). In the mean time, Carol suggested the pie plate...that will help rid some of them but you need to address the eggs. Good luck.

Everyone has given you good suggestions, and there may be other ways, I would suggest asking google, www.google.com and ask how to get rid of fleas, there are so many ways. But take it from these women who know what they are talking about they deal with it all the time, I am fortunate here, we have none!

Along with all the other suggestions try rubbing down with Avon Skin So Soft oil. Not the lotion or bath gel but the OIL. For some reason they dont like it. If your animals are dogs you can even rub them down with it (or put it into a spay bottle way easier) after you get them a bath.
I would also sugest calling the vet they can help loads.

it is going to be a hard process if u still have the animals in the house with you. I have several night lights plugged in and under them I have a small bowl of water mixed with like lemon joy ( very good to kill fleas while bathing animals too.....something with the citrus). Works best at night when all the lights are off except for the night lights. I have a flea collar in my bagless container on my vac***. Does no good to vac*** them up when they just jump back out of you vac***. hope this helps you a bit. Oh yeah, for some reason it works best if the bowl under the night light is white.
