Interesting! Too bad they're not flavored. Hey, if Jessica Simspson can do it, why not Jelly Belly?

I had some samples of those in an Ulta advertisement. They are a little too sweet.

You think $20 an ounce is steep for perfume? How much do you usually spend?

I sure do think that is too much, esp for that, if you don't mind smelling like Blueberry or hot fudge, or mango or one of the other ones, go for it, I prefer Estee Lauder, lol

I tend to agree with Carol - $20 for one ounce of fragrance is a tad steep. I guess it's all about your money priorities...

I tend to stick with Bath & Body Works. Right now, they have a 6 for $20 sale going on. Can't beat that! When I use the shower gel, lotion, and body spray, I smell yummy all day long!

Estée Lauder Fragrances run $45 an ounce.

I would rather use one product than 3 to keep the same fragrance. It is amazing how many people over do it. It is personal preference. It is true less more!

Not true, I have been buying Estee Lauder Youth Dew, never said I used perfume, and it is $28.00 for 2.2 Fl. Ounces, or as I buy it on Ebay, less than $9.00 a bottle, I really don't care how much you pay for perfume, I was referring to the cost of Jelly Belly perfume, if you want to smell like a fruit or chocolate for $20.00 an Ounce that is fine, that is what I meant.

Speaking of fruity fragrances... has anyone smelled DKNY Be Delicious? It smells like golden delicious apples and comes in an apple-shaped bottle. $35 an ounce.

Hi Carol... how do you know that the fragrance you're buying on eBay is genuine? I've seen perfumes that I'd consider buying there, but I'm always afraid that what I get might be counterfeit (and smell different than the original). Can you share any pointers with me? Thanks!

You look for a seller with alot of feedback that is all good, I have been buying my Estee Lauder on Ebay for years, and I have never ever had a problem, they have always been new and unused, plus they are spray bottles (I have a postal scale to weigh the bottles, lol) My last purchase was for 4 bottles for about 35.00, so I got a steal for mine. also look for sellers that have a reasonable shipping charge, some charge way too much!

If you buy from a reputable seller you should have no problems with counterfeit items from Ebay.I buy alot of Avon,Marykay and Estee and it has always been the real thing. When buying on Ebay be sure to read some of there feedback see what others are saying!! Don't be afraid to ask questions and get to know your seller.Sellers love repeat buyers!!

Jelly Belly fragrances? Yuck! It would make me so sick to smell like candy. I can't even stand sweet or fruit scented candles. I used to love all that stuff when I was younger, but now it just makes me feel like vomiting when I smell it.

I've been buying my perfume from ebay for several years. I always get a much, much better deal than buying from a department store and have never had a problem with anything being counterfeit. I was also able to stock up on my favorite fragrance when I found out it wasn't made anymore.

The biggest difference with buying from ebay is that you might not get the cap to the bottle of perfume and it usually doesn't come in the original box, but the bottles have never been sprayed. Personally, I'm willing to sacrifice a pretty box and cap if I can save $20 - $40 per bottle. Basically, they're just tester bottles like you see on department store counters. I even bought perfume on ebay as a gift for someone else - I just made sure it actually came in a box with the cap that time and the recipient never knew the difference.

LOL! Are you implying that I overdo it?

Another thing that I like about Bath & Body Works is that the scents are not overpowering. The body sprays have a light scent, not a heavy scent like some perfumes. I do agree that less is more, but if you don't layer the fragrance, it tends not to last very long. I don't want to have to spritz more perfume on every couple of hours; I want to put it on once and have it last all day long.

Saturday, I did use my White Linen. I took a shower with the soap, used the body cream, powder, and perfume (just a dab behind the ears and on my wrists). When I came into the living room, my daughter said, "Mom! Your perfume is too strong!" I know what you are saying about people overdoing it (my mom tends to do that), and I was disheartened by the fact that my perfume smelled so strong. Hopefully, it dissipated a bit before I was around other people! I really hate it when I am around someone whose perfume is so strong I can taste it in my throat.

The eBay advice is all good. The only thing I'd like to add is to look for sellers who have Paypal Buyer Protection. If there's a problem you can't resolve with the seller, you can then turn to Paypal for help. I don't know what Paypal says to these sellers, but on the couple of occasions I've had to get Paypal involved, I got a refund from the seller within hours!

OH yes, Pay Pal without a doubt, lol, I joined pay pal way back when they were new, back then they paid you 5 dollars for joining, and when I joined they were less than 1/2 million strong, now they are 100+million strong.

When I joined, I got $10! And, I got $10 for every first-time buyer who joined and used Paypal to pay for their auction. It was awesome!

One time though, I had a buyer who won one of my auctions. When it came time to pay, he deducted my $10 off of his auction. He wanted his $10 for joining, and my $10 too! What nerve! I told him there was no way I was going to let him have my referral money. He was mad, but he paid the $10, LOL!

This was also before Paypal charged sellers a fee. I miss those days!

I work at Bath and Body Works and I am addicted to our stuff.

I think this is steep for perfume.

You do realize that perfume is not the same as body spray, right?

Beware of the fact that these fragrances are made in a peanut factory. (states: "Manufactured in a plant that processes peanuts.") ppl with peanut alergies may have a reaction to this product!

Those Jelly Belly perfumes are put out by Demeter(sp?) I saw the Hawaiian inspired line by Demeter on Victorias Secret online but I am too frugal to pay over $20 for 1oz plus shipping.
Well, lucky me Marshalls had it last week on clearance for $6. It smalls so good but the person who posted about how fast it wears off is right. I can't tell I put it on after an hour. It is the best smell though!!!

I love Marshalls for scents. You can get them in the original packaging for so much less than department stores. I do a lot of Christmas gifts that way.

How very thoughtful of you, Lunarbeamdancer, to bring this to the attention of all of us. I love perfume and have many different fragrances from Avon to Guerlain (Shalimar), from the inexpensive to the costly. I deserve it, is my motto.
