Okay I get the jist of this but need a tad more information...I've read several recipes
calls for 1 box of linguine
1 8 oz bottle of italian dressing
assorted veggies
and here's the part that is confusing
McCormick's Salad Supreme seasoning...some recipes call for the whole bottle while others say any where from 2-4 tablespoons
so what is the real deal?
anyone?

1Pound of Pasta is a lot, so if your making this for a small number make only half or you will be eating this for days and days. I would also break the pasta into perhaps 1/3 or it will be too long.

Salad Supreme has all different things in it from poppy seeds to bits of bell pepper if I remember right. I would not use the whole bottle of it. the 2-4 T sounds right even for 1/2 the recipe. I add black olives, bell pepper, green onions, celery, radishes, broccoli. You can essentially add any veggie you want.
I have never made Pasta Salad using Italian Dressing, but next time I make it I am going to try that!

P.S. Salad Supreme is excellent sprinkled on Garlic Bread before you broil it.

I use Salad Supreme in my pasta salad (along with the italian dressing) and in my regular salads.

I would just use the 2-4 teaspoons--that stuff is really strong!

I plan on using this in my pizza pasta salad on Thursday!

She probably adds Pepperoni and Mozz cheese to her salad, that would be good.

Looks good but I have to ask "what brand of salad dressing do you use?" AND at this point I'd have to skip the tomatoes:eek: there's a tomatoes scare out there...per the FDA

As for the brand, I generally use Kraft Italian. They have a few different 'flavors' out there, so I grab the one that sounds the most appealing when I'm making it!

As for the tomatoes, I was able to buy them at Walmart last night. I read on multiple sites this morning that the cherry, grape and still on the vine maters were OK to eat (as long as you can find them). We've had no problems here in Maryland, and my DH found a list of states that were not affected as of now.

Really good, I love Pasta salads, my DH and son aren't really gaga over it, but now that I only made a really small batch they will want it.....but I can always make more.
I used Kraft Zesty Italian Dressing for it, something I have never done, I have always made my own dressing for it. Tastes really good and so much easier too!

This time I did not add bacon, I usually do add it to Pasta Salad also Potato Salad. Heck there is still time to add it, I think I will have DH fry some up so I can add it...

Yeah, but I don't measure anything, just add stuff, I also make my own dressing for it. Let me work on it and I will add it to the new recipes thread.

Well, I made the linguine salad...good...yes
I used a little over half of a 1 lb box of the pasta and slightly less than 4 Tablespoons of the seasoning + half a 16 oz. bottle of Newmans Italian dressing and ofcourse veggies...
I liked it...but getting the right dressing would be a plus, maybe next time a balsamic vinegar style with feta and black olives....
