Please pray for Jess0587 and her family

Ok ladies I know we have the best people for prayers and kind words on our site. Jess and her family has been going through alot with her grandpa the last few weeks. He was released from the hospital today and sent home with hospice care. Here is the last thing she said about him, sorry I dont know all the details.
They got my grandpa home just a little while ago. His liver is completley failed now, not working at all. One side of his heart is completley dead and a little less than 15% of the other side is working. The doctor said on Monday that they give him 3-5 days at the most. I'm so upset.

Thank each of you from the bottom of my heart for these thoughts and prayers. I visited with my grandpa tonight and it was so hard seeing him lay there like he was, so I tried as hard as I could to just picture him at best as I remember him, him laughing and cutting up. I know he will be in a better place soon. I can't stand to see him suffer like this. He is strong as horse, and there is a reason why he has hung in there as long as he has. I'm so thankful I got to spend some time with him tonight, not that he was very aware of too much, but we got to see each other. Hopefully I will get back over there tomorrow.

Unfortunatly Jess' grandpa passed away about 45 minutes ago.:( She is taking the day off so she can collect her thoughts and be with her family and her mom. She is going to be ok, it just takes time. She is strong, it's really hard for her to see her mom so upset. Please continue the prayers and thanks to everyone for everything.

Thanks everyone for all the thoughtful words and prayers. It is very very appreciated. Thankfully I have been able to take some time off work to be with my mom and family, and help get things together and just be here for support. It's a hard time, but I know we will get through it. My grandpa was one of a kind, and he is no doubt going to be missed.

Thanks Lynne! Grandma is still alive, but they divorced a long time ago. I've been staying with my mom the past few days, so I think that has really been helping her to stay busy and stuff. I helped her put together a bunch of pictures, for the Memorial Service today, and while doing that we talked about the pictures and memories we had together with him. So I think she appreciated that.

Today was the Memorial Service for my grandfather, and it went really well, as well as something like that could go. Some people gave speaches and talked about silly stories they remembered about him, and talked about all the great things about him and it was just really nice. I'm already missing him like crazy, but I know it will get better in time. I really appreciate everyone's thoughts, prayers and things, it helps a ton! :)

Don't deny yourself the time to grieve your loss too hon!! After losing my both parents (17 years apart) I found it a good time for me to cry and grieve when I would take a long hot bath.

Thank you so much! I'm doing better. I've been spending a lot of time with the family and stuff and things are going pretty good. But I don't think it has really hit anyone yet. :( But it will all be ok eventually. There's a lot to do, but we are all in this together.

Got to spend some time with the family last night. We all got together at my grandpa's house and just had a good ol time like any other time when he was there. We laughed and cried and talked about old memories, this is the kind of party my grandpa wanted us to have, not to get together and be sad and mourn and cry over his loss, but be happy that he's in a better place and enjoy being with each other! It was so weird though being there without him there. Everytime I walk in over there now, I look for him like I used to. I know he's there in spirit though! :)

When my dad passed away a good family friend went to a camping spot that he and my dad used to go and carved his name dob and dod in a bolder at there ol camp site.

To this day I LOVE watching Boxing.....because he enjoyed it so much, and I faithfully save my loose change in jars for a rainy day. All things I have gotten from the memory of my Dear Pup. I'm doing pretty good. Thank you for asking :) This whole process of getting rid of my grandfather's things is a pain though... family wanting stuff, and then selling the rest, life insurance... all that mess. We will get thru it! Just how it is. Thank you so much for keeping me and my family in your prayers! Means so much to me! I'm a prayer warrior, and I know that it will all turn out fine, with God's will. :)

My Paw Paw's 65th birthday would have been tomorrow. :(
My family is having one last get-together at his house on Friday. His house and all of his things are going to be auctioned off on August the 16th. :( I'm so sad to see the house and property go b/c it has been in our family for many years. And that house holds a ton of great memories with the family over the years and that is where we would all meet up for Holidays, cookouts, birthday's, game nights, Bible studies, anything and everything. But at least we have the memories to carry with us! :)

Yes, I took his jewelry box and some rings and knives too, for Josh and Justin. The other day, Dylan asked my mom if they could go to Paw Paw's and go fishing. :( He loved doing that with him.

I think he understands he's not going to see him anymore, and has mentioned that he's in Heaven with God and that sort of thing, but I'm sure he doesn't understand the whole gist of it quit yet. That would be great! I guess we'll see. :cool:

Well, today is my Paw Paw's 65th birthday! I know he is probably having the best birthday ever now! We are going to visit his "resting place" at some point today and take some flowers or something there. :)

Yes, it was a very emmotional day for my mom b/c this is just the first of b-days and holidays with out him, for her and all of us. We took him some flowers to his resting place and shared some good memories of him with each other while we were there. I'm sure we will have some b-day cake in memory of him tonight at his house. I want to post a couple of pictures on here of him, but I don't know how?

Yes, it was a very emmotional day for my mom b/c this is just the first of b-days and holidays with out him, for her and all of us. Well, I went to my grandfather's house lastnight, and it was alright... about as fun as it's going to get without him there. I'm sure going to miss that place. :(

I know...but the sad will turn into happy (with the occasional tear- I'm still pulling out a tissue every once in a while and my girls will say "Gram?" They know.)

It does get better...little by little- she was so part of my life that I'm tearing up just now. But tommorrow I'll be telling a funny story about her or telling the girls how wonderful she used to cook ______ (name it!). :)

I sure am missing my Grandpa today. Halloween was always one of his favorites, b/c he would take all of us grandchildren on a hay ride every year with his tractor, at our family halloween parties. And he'd always be so much fun, dressing up and stuff. Thanksgiving and Christmas is going to be really hard too. He looked just like Santa Claus, b/c he would grow out his beard and his beard would be white as snow! I have a really good picture of him from his last Christmas with us, he was asleep on the coach with his Santa hat on, and it just looked so cute! I will have to locate it and post it on here.

I know exactly how you feel. My heart goes out to you. It was upsetting when I went to my moms and my dad wasn't there to pick on my boys and try to steal there candy out of there bags. My youngest took a Reese's cup and put it by my dads recliner. Sorry I rambled on with that . But yes I know exactly how you feel and I am really sorry that there is nothing to take away the pain.
