Does anyone else have a child w/ these allergies?
We judt had allergy testing done on my 6 yr son.
That was the only one to have a slight bump.
Poor guy he loves his chocolate milk.
We are going to buy him some soy milk.
any advice would be appreciated.

Silk's Chocolate Soy Milk is good too. I also love their Light Vanilla Soy Milk - and it would probably taste good with some chocolate syrup too.

My son has been free of dairy (all casein) and wheat (all gluten) for 3 years now.
As a caution I'd stay away from soy. Often those with casein allergies are also allergic to soy, its a similar protein. Second, too much soy has been linked to testosterone problems in boys.
We use rice and nut milks instead. Rice Dream contains gluten, so if you are avoiding it, then do not use Rice Dream.
Another option is DariFree, its a potato based product, they make a chocolate milk too!

Go to the Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Network (FAAN) website. Dr. Susan Hefle, considered the leading food allergy researcher in the US, highly recommended FAAN during a food allergy seminar where she was the featured speaker.
Here's the link: http://foodallergy.org
The website includes alerts about products with undeclared allergens (for example, undeclared wheat in salami). When a manufacturer also changes processes, and there's a risk or elimination of a food allergen (you know those "may contain peanuts, tree nuts, etc." sort of labels), they will often notify FAAN so FAAN can send the word out to the public.
The website also includes a section for school and camps with printable recommendations for dealing with children with food allergies. Many parents with children with food allergies inform the child's school to avoid any problems with meals or snacks.
The recipes section provides from scratch recipes for alternatives for those with food allergies.
And, rather nice for the young ones, FAAN provides a website just for kids to help them understand their food allergy. Posters, activities, "ask Alexander", and other good resources to be found there.

Best wishes to you and your son as you work to protect him from food allergies!

My son was also allergic to milk but just the lactose. Pedia sure both the name brand and store brand are lactose free and he has no problem with them. They come in many flavors and are packed with all the vitamins and minerals you need each day. Good luck!!
