I need a new one. My old one conked out on me over a year ago. My cell phone camera doesn't take that great of pictures. I wanna get one before the 29th when my oldest son has his 6th grade graduation. Any suggestions? My last one was a Canon PowerShot S200. It only had 2.0 Mega Pixels but at the time we bought it that was good. :p I want one that has good zoom capabilities this time around. The Canon was great but it was a point and shoot.

I have done quite a few mystery shops featuring digital camera scenarios. What I've learned is, the lens is what's most important. Pick one with a good, name-brand lens. The mega-pixels are important if you are wanting to print your pictures.
I would suggest going to Best Buy/Office Depot and asking for their recommendation. They can answer all of your questions.
