Maybe I was dumb and didn't post a specific question about the product, because I got an email the day after I ordered that said:

Thanks for your interest in Hibi products. You did not mention any specific concerns, so let me just pass on some information on how Hibi works and see if this is something that you would benefit from using.

There are many places to pick up germs that can lead to infections and illness - surfaces, equipment, other people. Hibi products address the skin. Hibiclens is an antimicrobial/antiseptic soap. It is broad spectrum and has been proven to kill MRSA along with many other pathogens. The huge benefit is that the active ingredient (4% CHG) bonds to the skin and continues to kill for up to 6 hours after use. This provides a lasting barrier of protection to help prevent contamination. Hibiclens is approved by the FDA for general skin cleansing, wound cleansing, and hand hygiene. It is also approved as a surgical scrub and prep. Since Hibi is active for up to 6 hours, this reduces the risk of cross contamination. Hibi is effective in killing staph bacteria (including the most dangerous, MRSA), the bacteria that causes acne, the influenza virus (common flu), and most other contaminants that you may encounter on a daily basis.

Hibistat is an alcohol/CHG wipe that provides hand and skin hygiene when a sink is not convenient. Since it also contains CHG, it offers the 6 hours of residual killing action like Hibiclens. Alcohol-only products stop working as soon as they dry so you are at risk of contamination with the next surface touched. Hibistat offers the additional protection of CHG.

Hibiclens and Hibistat are currently available at CVS, and Rite Aid in the first aid section.
Hibiclens is also available at Wal Mart and Walgreens, in the First Aid section.
