Market research or Product Tester

Hello everyone. This is my first time posting something on a forum and it's taken me over an hour to get to the place where I type in anything.
Anyways, it looks like fun. I read a lot of threads by other people and enjoy it a lot.
I remember reading a note from someone who had mentioned some great companies for which a person could do market research, and since I didn't save any of the information, it's nowhere to be found. This person had named a company with only a bunch of letters (i.e. MRGSN....??) and it looked like a great place to register to do market research or product testing. I would really like it if anyone out there had great sites I could search to get started. Any information is much appreciated.

Hello and welcome to the SS forum, so glad you decided to type is something, you have done the right thing by asking for help, lol, anyways I think if you look under the thread called "Web sites you visit", you might find what you are looking for, now it may take a few pages to look through but I am sure it is there, meanwhile would the site you are looking for be NFO, or now called My Survey? This is a company that does all types of survey's, I personally have been a member of NFO (My survey) for over 30 years, they do pay a small amount for doing the survey's, nothing to make you rich but it is fun to do, if you are interested in joining this one here is the web addy, and again welcome, any ?? just ask, someone will hopefully help you out!

I overheard a conversation in the waiting room while I was at the dentist and a lady was telling another one how she gets products from companies to use and show other people and then she reports feedback she receives from people on the street or wherever they tell her to go.
I was called in to the office and she had left by the time I got out.
Does anyone know about this? And is this the same as product testing?
