:) My grandma just gave me her knitting machine - I've made a few basic scarves, and tried to make my son a sweater - ended up making it big enough to fit my niece! Oops - SO . . . I was just curious if there are any machine knitters in the group??
I do more hand knitting and crocheting . . . .
:)

Mae, I like to Crochet too, I am not good at it because I can't read a pattern at all, years ago I bought some rug yarn and made a huge rug, round of course, lol I sat on the floor and went around with the rug as I croched it. It lasted for years. I also made an afghan...not a very good one, lol I always had trouble when I got to the end of a row......so it was not too even, lol

Just hand crochet mostly and a little bit of hand knitting...
Mom had a Brother machine knitter in the early 70's. She went back to hand knitting and crocheting after a a couple of months tinkering around with the machine knitter. The machine knitter hasn't seen the light of day for over 35 years.
Very happy today to receive twenty-one old issues of Workbasket magazine, full of great patterns, including almost always equal numbers of knit and crochet patterns in each issue, tatting patterns, and so many other great projects. Plus, the fourteen issues I rescued from the throw out boxes at the annual library book sale when I volunteered--I'm in pattern picking paradise at the moment! :)

:) I've never heard of that magazine - I'll have to see if I can find a copy!
I'm trying to find a few cute patterns to knit/crochet a few items for my son for Christmas/Birthday this year. He will be 24 months Christmas Eve.
