Hello ladies, we are starting a new train! When we get more riders I will send out the first train. So far we have 2.

1. Utkd29-DeAnna
2. Ibeapoet- Amanda
3. SassyJan- Janice
4. Jessiegirl- Jessie
The Guidelines:

Take only what coupons you need.
Replace what coupons you take.
Try to include coupons that everyone will appreciate.
No coupons with expiration dates within 5 days.
Replace expired coupons if you can.
Mail the envelope to the next rider on the list within 3 days.
If you cannot continue, please let the conductor of your train know so that the train can be continued.
Please provide enough postage so as not to delay the train.

I think the reason why there was an extra charge was because the letter was so fat that it counted as a parcel and not an envelope? That's what the mail lady told me. So we'll just have to watch that when we send these out. In any case, I got the train out in today's mail so it's on it's way again.

Thanks ladies.... keep your fingers crossed. we really need to move closer to my dh work....he's spending almost $500 a month in gas and thats not including any running around that i do. It stinks that we're in such a rural area that you have to drive 45-50 miles one way just for a job or to do any grocery shopping. I hopeful and maybe our land will sell quick... Anyone want a house IN Sneedville Tennessee????? 34 acres and a doublewide?????? anyone????????????:D

If I'm absent for a few days, I'll be helping some friends of ours who home was destroyed in all the tornados that we had yesterday. :(

I pay about the same every month for gas. I live 63 miles each way from my job. I am really trying to remain optimistic about the whole thing. We LOVE where we live.

I separate my train in food and non-food. I put each set in a plastic baggie. It works and it is easier to handle. Just a thought.;)

I sent the train on Monday, June 9. Sorry I didn't post yesterday. It was really heavy, the next person should spread out the coupons so that the envelope is flatter. That is one of the reasons it cost me so much to send. It made the package not go as an envelope. I still got some really good coupons and put in a bunch myself.

How much did it cost you to mail it? Ususally the envelopes are pretty full so you have to use a bigger one. It normally takes $1.50-$2.50 to send it.

It actually had to go priority - which is $4 and something cents. She said it was too bulky and heavy to go as an envelope/first class. Either way, the next person might actually want to take out all the duplicate coupons and just keep two as opposed to three or four of the same coupons. I still got over $10.00 worth of coupons out of it. I use a lot but I also had a ton to add. I have been saving coupons for this train for over 6 weeks (many coupons take 3 to 4 months to expire). I am sending all the expired ones to the military. There is a post somewhere here about that.

If you have a food lion near you try to look for the granola bars there. They are going to stop carrying them so they are on sale for 1.67! With coupon its just 0.67 cents a box!!

It was sent to me in a brown large envie and the postage was $4.80 so a box was about the same. I'm saving more than spending so I'm happy :) either way. I'll try the paddend envie next time and see what happens

I'm hoping to get it out on Saturday as I haven't had a chance to go through it yet...looks like that baby is chalk full of coupons!

It's on the road again....next up Jastarck. :D Sorry once again for the delay. Family issues. I've seperated the train into 4 cats. it made it easier for me. 1 pets, resturants, and stores 2 food 3 personal stuff and meds and 4 cleaners, paper and plastic. I hope that helps a little bit.

Thank You ;) I've put a ton of pull ups and easy up coupons in. My son turned out to be allergic to something in them, but not in diapers:confused: . Don't matter much though. He'll be 3 in Jan and still won't go near a potty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
