I purchased those green bags that are supposed to keep your fruits and veggies fresher longer. I was amazed! My bananas stayed on my counter for OVER TWO WEEKS! They were still edible, though a little soft, but that's the way my kids like them. My strawberries were so fresh, they were like they came from the Farmer's Market! I put that bag salad/lettuce in it and it stayed about 6 days longer than usual! They are reusable, so they go a long way. I highly recommend them to everyone!

I've been using those bags for the past 4 years. I love them, they work the way they should, I recently kept bananas in a bag for almost 2 weeks. Lettuce, celery, green onions, all stay so much longer. And the best part is that they are reusable, I wash them and resuse them.

I got mine from QVC, but they do not sell them anymore, you can get them from Amazon cheaper, a total of 30 bags for 20 dollars...I just noticed she has new containers made with the same stuff, there aren't any reviews on them yet so I don't know how they work.

I have waited for ever to try these-I never see any samples. I think I may just buy them and try. My house is soooo humid and fruit spoils in days.

You probably will never see a sample for these, but I can tell you they do work! I love these bags, and you can reuse them. You'll be suprised how long things last using these bags.

FYI: Hey, chicas! I was in Kroger's today, and they have these bowls (from Tupperware, if I remember correctly) that are brand new and made to keep your fruit and veggies fresh a lot longer! The lids have that greenish color like the Debbie Meyer green bags! Plus they're on sale! :D

I have never tried them with Mushrooms, but I have kept Cilantro for 2 weeks, I wrapped the stems with a damp paper towel and put it in the bag.

Mushrooms I found keep better if I remove them from the package they come in and put them in a brown paper lunch size bag.

Thats a great price Chris, they work so good. Mine have lasted the 4 years I've had them, only thrown out them when they had been used over and over numerous times...they are great for celery, green onions, bananas, lettuce, well you'll see, lol

Make sure you do not wash the strawberries first.

They also sell these bags at Target and Bed Bath and Beyond.

I see that Debbie Meyer is now making bread bags too. Has anyone tried them yet??

Why haven't you used them? get going girl, they work!! and do not wash your produce before using the bag. I have not seen the bread bags, I am going to go check that out right now, thanks for telling us about that.

My cousin swears by these (I haven't picked any up, but should, especially since we are trying to eat more veggies!). She told me to write the produce I put in it on the bottom and always use that bag for that type of produce (lettuce in the lettuce, bananas in the banana bag, etc) and that the bag can be washed and reused until it smells like the fruit/veggies that are in it. She said that is the indication that the bag is no longer working.

I saw these advertised while I was at work and wondered if they worked. All the girls laughed and we kind of figured that they don't. I can't wait to see the ad again and tell them they do...I don't even buy bananas in the summer, they go by so fast! Not to mention the fruit flies. ICK!

What is the "title" when I reply to a post? I just put hello......LOL

When you respond to a post, you don't have to put anything in the title. You can just leave it blank if you don't have a reason to title your response.

By the way, welcome to the forum and keep posting (and asking questions when you need to) :)

I got a kick out of those reviews, yes you have to read the instructions, which are easy to read. These bags work! Unless they have changed the way they are made, I think they are great.

I'm SO glad there is a post about these! I was totally wondering if they worked, but they seemed too good to be true. I buy TONS of produce and it always goes bad before I can eat it all. (especially bananas) I am going to go out and buy some of these when I go grocery shopping next. :p

I'm glad you all wrote how much you like these bags! I wanted to try them, but then I read a lot of bad reviews about them (on the infomercial review site), so decided to not spend my money. But since you all like them so much I'm going to get some next time I go to town.

I see Bed Bath & Beyond carries not only the regular green bags and the bread bags, but also Debbie Meyer cheese bags (12 for $9.99) and Debbie Meyer cold cut bags (12 for $9.99). Seeing the glowing reviews here, looks like something worth looking into.

I don't know how well the other bags work outside of the regular green bags, perhaps they are all made of the same material? But, they do work on veggies very well, just do not wash them before storing them.

If anyone has tried the other bags please post how well they work.

I have been waiting to try these, but never could find out if they really worked. I received an LTD Commodities catalog yesterday, and they have the Debbie Meyer Green Bags 20 for 7.95. I can't imagine the shipping cost would be to much, they can just put them in a padded bag. We have a local department store that sells TV offers and they have I think 6 for 9.99. Wal-Mart also has what they call a TV offer aisle, you may be able to find them there. :)
